All my people in Southeast are you seeing this!? The gas stations are doing a good job keeping the 87 flowing but I can’t find 93 or even 91 anywhere in NC. Down to 1/4 tank. I don’t know what to do. 87 is everywhere no 93 to be found. Do you fill with 87 or is that huge no no? 2020 SRT392

Remember you have 87 in the tank. I would drive it calmly until you get 93 back in.

Download the gas buddy app for your phone too. It allows you to search for a specific fuel.

That Gas Buddy app was hit and miss for me when it comes to octane in stock. It said one station where the app said they had all grades available, I wanted in line for about 30 mins to find out they only had freaking 87.
Just for my knowledge does those octane boosters work or just snake oil?

Yes, they do work, but the common misconception is that they'll boost HP, which they do not. Its actually a recommended use for people who are unable to get access to higher quality fuel. If you do use Race Gas, it's actually a better overall outcome because the octane boost is better.

True, this week the app was hit hard. It is also primarily based on people's input. It is usually ok but in a panic it was iffy.

I'm having the same problems near Atlanta. I have some 110 octane at home I mix in currently. Gas buddy app has been wrong for me on 93 octane. Some stations will show they have it and when you go to pump nothing comes out.

Before I retired, I was involved in the petroleum industry in various jobs for 45 years. I have seen this situation many times, and this is the scam: the retailers make more money on the premium, so even though the regular storage tank is full, and people are desperate for fuel they put up signs " sorry premium only". after waiting on the gas line and finally getting to the pump they know you will pay whatever they want, so only after the premium is sold out and they made a nice profit then the regular pumps are open, and the "regular only" sign goes up! Now I am not bashing all the dealers, but money is money and this is a case of supply and demand.

My 2020 Scat Pack's owners manual is quite clear on this subject:

This engine is designed to meet all emission regulations, provide optimal fuel economy and performance when using high-quality unleaded
“Premium” gasoline having a posted octane number of 91 as specified by the (R+M)/2 method. The use of 91 or higher octane “Premium” gasoline is required for this engine.

Furthermore the manual states fuel additives are not to be used.

So those that say you can use 87 with or without an octane booster are in direct opposition to what the maker of the engine says.

Wait. 93 will show up in a day or so.
