Great to hear. I hope the flex stuff works well. I'm about 30 mins from him. Plan to do flex as soon as he makes it available. You might be one of the first.

No Tim Barth is doing the flex fuel tune for me, black key 93 fuel 14 psi boost. Red key E85 fuel 19-20 psi boost. You will have to call Skip at Demon about the blower cause I am not sure.
Keep us posted on the flex fuel tune. Of course every time you switch over you gotta pulley swap. I’m sure you get that down you can do it quickly.

How is your access to E85?

No pulley swap at all, boost is limited by tune and black key, E85 is plentiful here in Georgia and I always have 110 gallons of X98 to help if I get some bad E85 which now I will know cause of my E85 gauge, which is a must IMO, I learned my expensive lesson blowing up one motor already. So I keep 5 gal of X98 in the trunk as back up.

We have e80 here about 10-15 from me. E75 is a few minutes away. Just going to wonder how much wiggle room is built into the red key mode.

How does the boost specifically, get regulated by the tune?

On the E85, are you saying that you can add X98 to your E85 tank and it will raise the content from like 60% ethanol content to 70%?

You would have to ask Tim about the tune and boost. Yes on the 2nd part. I fill up the tank 3/4 at the station so if the E85 is 70% then I add the x98 5 gallon and I am good.

man you guys are hardcore...

there's 2 seperate voltage ranges for the bypass valve position...one range for black key and one range for red key...the valve closes fully with the red key and builds max boost... valve closes partially with black key which bleeds boost..

I’m gonna have to read up on that. I would love to be able to have a twin screw blower utilize a boost controller like a turbo setup.

Honestly that’s the main reasons flex fuel tune makes sense for me.

Change fuel and boost setting at one fill up and race car. Then switch out to 93 on the flex setting and adjust boost level. I would like more than one option for boost setting 3-4 different setups that can be controlled inside the car.

That’s very cool. Thanks for the input

Most attractive part about the flex is the boost bleed and the fact you don't need to worry about what % ethanol you use unless you run in kill mode.

Where is the bypass valve located? Has anyone messed with it to try and make multiple voltage ranges on the car? Can it be improved?

In theory, I would like to put a 4” pulley on the car and have it set for 27-28psi. Then have have the ability to set 3-5 custom settings with a controller in the car. Depending on the conditions of where you are and access to fuel as well as weather conditions and track conditions you can keep the car consistently very fast.

Might also let us dial the car in for repeatable launches and track runs.

93 safe daily setting
93 race medium
93 race kill
E85 race medium
E85 race kill

Adjustable between 750-1400HP

Have that where the nitrous controller goes for NXpress next to the shifter and pick which level of madness you wanna go that day.

Just thinking out loud.

Update:

Vossen wheels will be in tomorrow. They finished final inspection Friday.

Kept looking at stuff to add to the car while I’m waiting. Purchased the hurst shifter for appearance only.

Purchased a zl1 products wicker will with NO cutout. Not sure about installing it. I take the car into extremely high speeds. I do not want my spoiler flying off at 175 (all in theory) I also am to understand that it could decrease my mph because of the wind. But it gives me more downforce and better traction on rear end the faster it goes? Worth it? Still deciding.

I also purchased Torred exact copy emblems from American Brothers Design, had the colors done in Torred to match my brembo calipers as much as possible. I’ve dealt with Eric Masters there and he has been great. They should be arriving within a few days.

Pistons and rods still waiting. Everything else is ready.

Attached is a picture of a challenger with the wicker bill. I bought it because of this pic.

Damn. That’s awesome. I’m keeping stock cam, hoping to keep the daily driving manners of the stock car as much as possible.

You gotta post up numbers when it’s done.
