I have noticed recently that my IAT is reading 52c to 65c even though i have fi-interchiller installed.

I also have a whipple supercharger and methanol injection for cooling but IAT doesn't seem to nudge even when methanol os injected.

Old photo where it is lower than ambiant temperature:-

New photo where it is higher than ambiant:

I/C temperature is low which means the interchiller is working.

Did anyone face similar issues with IAT?

Any suggestions?

The old Whipple 4.5L isn't as efficient as the OEM blower so it generates a lot more heat.

I do agree... But both photos are with the same setup... Had the whipple supercharger when o took the old photo
I know you think something might be wrong but still, have you considered going to FI stage 2 or adding an expansion tank which they recommend?

I already have stage 2 + extra fan....

The problem is with higher temperature reading its forcing the car to go lean when there is no actual high temperature ...

Oh, it’s an invalid reading not an actual high temp causing it to lean out. Got it. Didn’t catch that before. Thats a tough one.

Ya and i am trying to figure out what is wrong... No luck so far
Have you tried calling a few performance shops? Many of them have installed Whipple's on Hellcats and should be aware of any known issues. I would also contact Whipple for support.

what Freon did you put in the car?

check the pressure.

what Kind of water pump are you running?

what size lines?

weather changes also. not just temperature, humidity etc.

driving habits change as well.

shouldn’t be going lean. It should just be pulling timing as a reaction to the temperature.

is everything the exact same as both pictures? Exactly the same? No changes?

I will check refrigerant level... Since i have stage 2 interchiller... I fill it with r134.. Double the amount of factory.. Weather got colder butore humidity... Will that explain the huge difference?

Also water pump is the stock one same as before

You can overfill the refrigerant, make surethey are watching the gauge closet and know what they are doing.

outside weather and humidity etc will play a huge roll.

Also be conscious of the AC settings your using in the car. Make sure you have it on the same temp settings each time. Not sure if this is going to cause any massive changes but it’s worth checking.

not sure about waterpump, I don’t see that being an issue. You can always check voltage or something

overfilling the refrigerant can lead to freezing on the coils, which can block airflow, which would cause a backup of air, which would require more effort to put through, which could raise temperature, but, as you said, it may be a faulty temperature sensor, which would be an easy fix.
