Just curious how many of you out there followed the 500 mile break in? I'm reading that when the cat comes in for the first oil change that they were plugging in to see how the break in went. Just curious how many did it exactly as recommended and how many said fu#k it and just let the big cat eat!

I followed it to a T, with the exception of hitting 60mph a couple times in the first 100 miles. And my hellcat is currently getting its transmission replaced at 700mi. A fat lot of good it did me to follow the recommendations so closely! At least if they scan it they'll see that I followed the recommendations almost exactly.

8 speed auto. It was leaking fluid from the input shaft. No catastrophic failures or anything. But since it's a sealed unit, they can't replace the seal, and have to replace the entire transmission. I think it was that way from the start, and I didn't notice it for a week. I'm almost certain it didn't have anything to do with the way I was driving it, or any other factors. Probably just a bad unit from the factory.

Generally followed it but with spikes some would frown on. Not a drop of oil used yet, no problems and over 700 mi now, love it. Doing oil change this next week.

Just did a oil change to day beat from day one lots of idle time Erving yo also no oil loss

I followed first 500, then a Slomaro was taunting my Hellbaby so he had a little sprint that exceeded break in guides, but pretty sure it was at like 505 or so!
