well after hunting and searching a lot and being faced with mark ups of 10, 15, sometimes 20 over I got tired and found a car 10 mintues from home and ended up buying it for 8k over msrp. They gave me what I wanted for my trade, which lead to no money lost on it ('15 GC SRT JEEP, 9500miles), and that lead to me getting a pretty good sales tax credit on hellcat (only paid $944 in sales tax), sticker was 64,675, and I got it for 72. (roughly 7800-7900 over sticker, dont have numbers in front of me rt now) sublime with a matte black hood, auto, standard black interior, black standard wheels, all season tires, and nav/uconnect. does nav /uconnect have the higher end audio? or is there only audio unit in all cars?

anyhow, im happy. I wanted a hellcat, and I didn't want to wait and search, and scour the country, with my job I frankly don't have the time. I don't take delivery until Monday next week, as the car is going to be at world of wheels in Chicago, a car show, which the dealer is going to display it at roped off with a sold sign on it which im cool with, will make a good photo op, and for memories.

Anyways, I read plenty about MSRP deals, and what not, but I know some guys are paying over sticker, was wondering who has paid sticker and by how much? get an idea of what the mean is for over sticker purchases

anyways look forward to the engaging in the forum and the hellcat!

"Anyhow, I'm happy."

That's the most important thing you wrote and, quite frankly, the only thing that matters.

You valued your time and your sanity at $8k and it works for you.

Enjoy the car. It's special.

If you found the car you wanted and everything else worked out like you said, sounds like you did good to me!

Absolutely. The fact you are happy is all that matters. In my mind I was prepared to go $5k over sticker to buy one off the lot. If push came to shove I probably would have gone more. I just got very lucky with one at msrp

I'm paying $2,500 and was happy to find that. Truth be told, If they had listed msrp $7,500-$10,000 over I'm sure most of is still would've got one anyway.

And I bet dodge now wishes they started with a higher msrp.

i didnt find it hard to find msrp....luck was at least part of it...picking the most produced color/trans helped too

only problem with paying over msrp is it keeps the ADM going for everyone else.....if people stopped paying ADM it would simply go away.....hope you didnt pay $10k over recently? youd be the highest adm ive heard of 30-45 days......

if your happy with it then its ok in the end......you have your car while many here cant find one.....

I paid 5k over. Worth every penny of it. Got exactly what I wanted and LOVE the car !!! After reading about all those waiting on here with some bailing because of the wait. I would do it again without thinking about it. My buddy ordered 9-9-14......still no car. I feel bad for all in those situations.

ended up paying 7900 over.

64,675 msrp, and I got it for 72,xxx something.

but I had a 15 jeep srt with 9500 miles that I owed 60 k on and they gave me 60k , paid it off, which led to 4000+ sales tax credit on the hellcat. so big picture im very happy. I did try for weeks, about 2-3 weeks to find one at MSRP, calling even anchorage Alaska. honestly I could not find MSRP anyplace, I must have called dozens of dealers and dozens of states.

After being told I couldn't order a HC at the dealership because there not taking anymore orders for 15. I proceeded to call too many dealers to count and was told by many 10k plus if you wanted a HC. I finally found a south dealer to let me pay 5k over msrp to purchase a B5 blue HC they had in transit. I take delivery this Friday. I'm the last person that pays sticker for anything but I wanted the car now and I was tired of the games being played. Time is money.

I paid MSRP, but, then after the car was built in Dec, my lovely Dealer added $500.00 to the tag and title fees. This really pissed me off, however, I was stuck. Pay it or go back to the end of the line for a Hellcat. So at end of the day, the Dealer got an additional $500 dollars out of me but, lost any chance to service this car or ever sell me another one.

You bought a car....that you wanted...for a price you are happy with...period...end of story. If I could find one on-lot in the combo I wanted I would have also paid above MSRP. Honestly, if you are happy...what difference does it make how WE feel? Enjoy the hell out of it! Congrats! Today is uncertain, tomorrow is a total crap shoot...

So like many of you I had many sleepless nights. I looked everywhere in the area and could not find a car under 5k over. The DC area seems to have a lot of people with expendable income willing to pay the price. Most of the ones I came around in person were 10k over. I got tired of the dealer BS and after putting a deposit at a local dealer for 5 k over and being 3rd in line I was given the opportunity to get one for the same price now. 5K over feels disturbing after hearing many people actually received one for list. All in all when you include shipping and travel to see a car at list you have paid over. Moreover, if I were to miss the 2015 year model I feel Dodge will jack up the MSRP about 1 to 2 percent next year leading to more tax and more total cost on top of a ADM greedy dealers will continue to charge. For that reason and my impatience to have such an awesome car, I pulled the trigger and I can't be happier except for the fact that the Charger owners have a cooler Red Key.
After beating the big C I come to realize you are on the earth only once. Enjoy it because when your older who wants regrets. Is money worth your happiness? Not me but this car sure makes me smile a lot and that is priceless
