Looking to connect with ‘18 or newer owner that plans on getting a tune in the future. Dyno/remote/send car off to a shop, whatever… doesn’t matter. Thanks in advance. Don

Been waiting for the direct connection stage kits to come out. Since who knows if and when that's going to happen, I get closer to saying forget it and going aftermarket tune. Hesitant to void my warranty just yet though.

I have a 2020 HC. Borla ATAK cat back, LMI intake, 180 thermostat, Willes driveshaft and Dirs rear brace (for Borla).
I decided to tune to take advantage of the small mods I have.
I used Dusterhoff remote tuning. My car is used for fun only, not a DD. Not concerned about warranty.
Tune made quite a difference. Runs much cooler (180-190 even in Florida temps). It also shifts at 6.4k instead of 6.0. That extra 400 rpm pulls really nice. Also, when upshifting you are more in the power band at the next gear.
Paddle shifters shift much harder as does auto shifting. Car is quicker, smoother, cooler and just plain more fun!
In street mode it is just as mellow as ever.

In my humble opinion even a stock car can benefit greatly from a tune (as long as you are ok with that warranty thing).

I realize mine is not a mighty Redeye but as far as its already fast enough? ...........Really?

Varooom

Do you drive it often? I can see that being enough for me if I only drove mine on wkends, but I drive mine every sunny day (4-5 days a wk) and need 1000 to keep the drive spicy lol

Not a DD but tbh I wouldnt void a warranty regardless. With my luck the engine would
pop and I am not made of money. Not to mention 800 (or 717) is fairly spicy already, especially with the 3.09’s. Im good.

I am looking to connect with someone that IS GOING TO be getting a tune. Not looking for opinions on why someone should or should not. Thank you

You’re right but you know how these car forums are. Some worse than others. Members get off topic a lot and post opinions.

Research more. And I’m sure you know there’s another Hellcat website. I haven’t posted on there much though so It’s probably not any better.
‘Anyways Good luck.

That's the problem with daily usage...we get used to the stock power....the only non mod to help that is use track mode and drive more aggressively..If you can keep your special car special and use infrequently it may also help reduce the need to mod.

Sometimes I may go a week to two weeks without driving the Cat and still feel like I need more power. I'm so use to the car in stock form....

Since I didn’t buy a challenger or charger we won’t get stage kits 😭 I was really hoping on it happening but Dodge doesn’t give a crap about Durango Hellcat models (I think the junk Uconnect experience is proof of that)

If my S/Stock ever gets built, I'll likely wait a year before doing any engine mods. Then I'll focus on an E85 tune for the dragstrip unless the stage kits become a reality. I'll focus on rear suspension for now cause I plan on bracket racing. I think it will be fun to race something slower.
