Maybe they want enough to hit the street all at once so the first few cars don't get flipped on eBay for 20K or more over MSRP. That would piss off a few dealers that they were pressuring not to do this. Maybe there is so much sand tar coming by rail out of Canada that they don't want to ship anything with the skimpy tonnage of a rail car full of Hellcats and the locomotives are pulling all the weight they can handle. Maybe they are waiting for the spare belt, hose, tire, oil filter, air filter and battery supply to catch up? Maybe they are giving the first 1,000 buyers a free Hellcat logo toaster with each purchase?
