I swear I have looked everywhere for hours, NO ONE that I can find has the MT Street R's in a 315/50R17 size. And it's not just that size, it seems most of their tires sizes are out of stock. The same goes for M&H... I don't understand what the problem is, tires are made every single day by other manufacturers and they are not having the problems our racing tire companies are having. I ordered a set from Summit more about 3 weeks ago. They first said they anticipated having them by the 28th of last month which was fine, then that comes and goes and they change it to the 10th of May which was a little upsetting. Now a few days later we haven't even gotten to the 10th of May and they have moved them back yet another week!.... Does anyone have any answers as to why this is happening OR better yet, know somewhere where I can buy a pair of these? At this point I would pay more than normal price as I am missing out on nice weekends that could be at the track.

A buddy of mine with a S/S Cuda ordered a set of slicks from Summit back in November and was told April delivery date. He called on them and was told there pushed out to September.

I write Summit yet another email asking for more than just their BS canned answer of they only can estimate..blah, blah, blah. That motivated someone from Summit to actually call their supplier and he was told there is a ten week lead time as of right now. So basically the May 16th date they had given me (the 3rd time it has changed) was bullsh*t as well. He said he would cancel them if I want, but what are the alternatives? I've tried Ebay and damn near everywhere I can find online. There was a guy that had 1 new one for sale last week on Ebay but not two so I didn't go for it. I probably should have as it is gone now. I guess I'll be giving M&H a call to see what they tell me and will report back here.

Ill be damned 2 came up on Ebay and I was able to buy them. Minor miracle. I think Ill just leave the 2 I have on order with Summit for spares if they are going to be this hard to find

A pair popped up on Ebay brand new and I bought them just a couple minutes ago. I am going to leave my previously ordered pair with Summit as spares or maybe if you are still looking for some by the time I get them you can get em from me. Ill let you know when they finally arrive. If its a ten week time from the time you order them that means I should have them in about 6 weeks.

Its funny I went to M&H's actual website and clicked on their Racemaster Radials. I clicked on every size from about halfway down the page to the bottom and there wasn't a SINGLE size "in stock". If you didn't know any better you would think they are going out of business! I also emailed them directly to ask what the heck is going on and have yet to get any reply. They also do not list a phone number on their web page so you can't actually talk to someone in real-time, email only.

My sbc bellhousing has been on back order for 12 weeks and counting.
My cylinder heads still not here and ordered in February.
My chassis guy can't get any M/T tires at all. My brother's finally came in from another vendor after ordering last November.

The car aftermarket is a complete shit storm right now. My 55 would have been running by now if it wasn't for all the slowdown everywhere.

I posted about 4 hours ago that after hours and literally days searching I found a set of the MT 315/50R17 Street Rs on Ebay and snatched them up. I'm leaving the other pair on order with Summit for back-ups or maybe sell them to someone else here that really needs them like Adrenaline Rush. I'm good on wheels, I have a brand new set of custom Weld RT-S 3-piece forged S80's already waiting for tires, a pair of 20x8's for the front and 17x11 Beadlocks for the rears. I decided to go for a compromise on the front wheels, not true skinnies but 8" inch wides so I can run a 245/45R20 MT Street comp front tire in the front. This was because I do a lot of roll racing and would like to do some half mile events and the skinnies don't cut it when doing that stuff with such heavy car. Yes they will slow me down just slightly in the 1/8 or 1/4 mile but Ill be able to stop better and when doing half mile runs or roll racing I should have some actual steering control. For the street I'm running a square set-up of 20x11 3-piece Velgen VFMP10s all the way around with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 Summer tires.

Not entirely true, this past year has been tougher than years past. Some manufacturers don't make as many drag radials during those months because demand is low. The Nitto 555R2s were like this, they only just started coming back into stock in the last 2 months after 6 months of waiting.
