2017 Regular (Narrow) body Challenger.

I got my new Forgestar F14 17x10 +30 beadlock wheels and 18x5 front runners last week. I already have 305/45-17 drag radials. Did test fit for wheels only and all is good front and rear with shortened sway bar endlinks for the rear. The rear wheels are 17x10 with 6.7 backspace which is the same as Weld and other brands for regular body Hellcat.

Question: Has anyone with experience with this setup or the same size setup had to do any rear wheel well modifications? I'm going to the tire shop tomorrow to have the tires installed so I can't return once that's done.

I appreciate any responses I get today before heading to the point of no return tomorrow, lol.

Thanks,
Dean

Thank you for the wiring video. I already tie-wrapped the wire out of the way. I checked all of that when I test fit the wheels only.

Your wheel size and offset will work but your tire will be rubbing because of the bulge.

R.K.
My 17x9.5 Racestar wheels with the 305's have 5/8" bulge from the outer most edge of the wheel. The 17x10 Forgestar should be the same at worst-case and possibly closer to only 1/2" bulge.

Search “pounding the seam” or “tire clearance” or just look at what the liner looks like and figure it out. I would pound seam and trim liner before going to to have tires mounted. Can drill more holes and install push pins too to create the most possible clearance. Do all that and they should not rub

I did a lot of searching and the bigger 315/50-17 tires seem to be the real problem tire for fitment. As you said, I'll figure it out once I get the wheels & tires on the car and can see any conflicts.

I think it will rub but it won't be massive. They will mount up but likely rub when you are driving. I have heard of one Guy letting them self clearance as he drove. Gulp!

In the original post you said 305

NOW you say 315

Which size tire are you trying to run?

R or SS?

The 3400 series are shaped slightly different than the 3500’s

My first post said I have the 305's. They are the ET Street R radials. The 315 post was just a reference to that size being more of a major headache. I see how that could be confusing though.

This is exactly how it worked out. I have about an inch or so in almost all areas and have about 1/2" clearance from the "rib" area.

The only actual conflicts were the lowest areas of the this plastic wheel well liner where the ends were curled toward the tires. I took some scissors and trimmed those areas. It's all good to go now.

Likely would not have to done that with this................

You just need the little wheel well liner mod.
