Do you guys think this will be strong enough for the Challenger Hellcat? Mainly to do oil changes, take off wheels? I want a 2 to 3 ton, but am having trouble find a reasonably priced low profile, flat top 3 to jack. Found a 1.5 ton AC delco for around 129. I don't want to pay anymore than 200. I don't want harbor freight junk either.
I have never had a problem with my 1.5t jacks. I use it with my 2012 Chall SRT8 just fine. Think about it - you are talking about 3000lbs lift capacity but you only lift about 1200 on any given corner. You shud be fine with a decent 1.5t.
I agree w/JJ... 4,500lb./4 (assuming 50/50 weight distribution front:rear) = 1,125lb. per wheel. Even if you lift one side at a time: 4,500lb./2 = 2,250lb.
1.5 is fine. Remember the "cup" on many floor jacks are removable which drops em lower. I'm actually using a craftsmen professional hydraulic 3.5 ton floor jack with the ZL1 premium magpad since it double duties the raptor.
