I picked up my car in September and I live in the upper Midwest. Driving it with the 305 mm tires is not very practical in the snow. I made it through the winter but I’m thinking ahead. This is my daily driver. Has anyone found rims and tires, or tires that fit on the wide rims, that work in the snow in the winter? Challenger Widebody Hellcat Redeye.

i bought some BC forged wheels and run 295/35/20 snow tires. it's not great but does ok in massachusetts winters. i do have a bronco on order but the way that's going it looks like I will spend another winter in a hellcat.

Thanks Jeff! I will look into those as well as anything else anybody recommends. I do have a four-wheel-drive van but would like to drive the car as much as I can. It’s not even very good on wet rainy cold days. Slipping in sliding is very easy, even in the conservative modes!

OP, I live in Michigan running 305's with Continentals DWS or Blizzaks. Been through 6-10" snow no issues. Driving style, tires and throttle control. I drive black key in winter. Just an opinion. Specifically 305/35/20's it can be done. Summer time switch out tires and rims. Another reason to keep stock rims as I go on 18's with the stickys after the thaw.

The only winter tires I’ve seen that will fit the standard rims are Pirelli SottoZero. But they are hard to find and I’ve only seen them for around 750/tire. So it likely makes sense just to buy a smaller rim where there are more options.

Why in the hell would you drive it in snow?????
Cause it’s my daily and I love driving in snow :). For full transprency, my wife, kids and I take trips in winter to Poconos for some snowboarding and skiing so snow tires are a must in case roads are in snow. Other than that, since not all realize, in low temps in winter, on dry roads your grip is none and snow tires reduce breaking distance a lot. Often a diference between rear ending or not. Not driving in snow too much at the end but much safer on cold roads.

Growing up in Southern California I was very surprised to see all the cars spun out and abandoned on the side of the road in ___ driving to collage every morning

Common sense can not be taught or bought : )
