To put 305/40R20 size tires on a Hellcat Redeye? I havent measured yet, but they are 1.2" larger in diameter, so the sidewalls are .6" taller.

When I purchased new tires the options were limited with availability so I have summer tires.... Continental ExtremeContact Sports. Its getting cold and I need to swap them ASAP.

I can get ContiWinterContact™ TS 830 P tires within a week. I'm not looking to drive in the snow, but it will get below 30F here. This morning its 42F.

assuming you have a widebody? I run 295/40 on a factory spec wheel for the winters.

Or, like many people do, they buy a cheap snow beater for less than the price of a new set of tires and call it done.

There is snow on the ground less than 3-5 times per winter here. The main reason I want winter tires is my current tires are not rated for below 42 or 46F I forget off the top of my head. I have other transport options if there snow/ice on the ground. I don't want to not beable to use my car for the next 4 months.

Do they salt the roads when it gets below freezing where you are? If they do, the money you’ll save on rust repairs by not driving it will more than pay for a winter beater long term.

Okay, then I definitely shouldn't drive mine before noon on my tires these days.

We have started out in the mid 20s for the past two weeks or so, but then it gets up to 60 or 70. Does that make a difference in grip? Of course it does, so I don't go through the curves as fast in the morning as in late afternoon.

Good luck getting a sub $1k car that is reliable & worth driving for months. Hellcat is fine for winter with right tires. Been doing it with mine since new
When I lived in Colorado from 1998 - 2009, I bought a 1981 Corolla with 348,000 miles on it for $150. I sold it for $250 when I moved in 2009 and it had almost 500,000 on it. During that time, I spent about $2,000 keeping it on the road over the 11 years I owned it. The car was rusted, looked like pure hell, but the heater worked and it had knobby snow tires on it. Engine and trans never did give me any trouble. All the money I spent on it was for things like lower control arms and suspension bits due to corrosion.

As for driving a Hellcat in winter... sure, it can do it. But I don't trust other people and we all know what snow does to other people.
