Seems something happened at the factory to my car. The dealer got a email last week.... saying they are going to clone my order and build me a new car. The email had the new VIN on it.

this happen to anybody else??

lol but mine was in inspection!
They must have found some sort of structural inaccuracy in QC. There are only so many problems the post mfr techs can fix before it would need to be brought back around and dismantled to see what happened. This is a very important thing because they need to make sure there is not a wider spread problem on the line and make sure no other cars have been effected. So be happy they found something before you ended up getting a lemon or something. But that sucks because you just got set back 60 days or more. Sorry man. I'd be raising holy hell if I were you.

I'd ask for the dealer to escalate the order to their dodge rep. And I would start emailing SRT execs, asking for help. My buddy reached out to Tim Kuniskis back in 2018 when he was the SRT boss, asking for help when his hellcat came in damaged that he ordered and was pissed he had to order another and wait 2 more months. Tim actually helped and got his order fast tracked.

Yes. This apparently happened to me a couple weeks ago. However, they did not give me a clear reason why. They just issued me a new VIN, but same build. Not to mention, I originally ordered June 4th. Well, back at D1 and the waiting game continues.

Due to your unique circumstances I'll be optimistic and guess your new replacement order will be on an expedited basis ?

Reach out to SRT and request updates via e-mail from their Customer Care Group ----- they did that for me.

Hopefully your new SS order will be on the "Fast Track" and delivered soon in a closed carrier.

AWESOME machine and well worth the wait !

Ugh sorry man. And on top of all this the plant is going to remain closed until October 12th. My car is sitting somewhere on the line waiting for something in the trim part of the factory. Probably a component needing a chip. Someday we will all laugh about this...

With the plant closed until Oct 12, is it possible Bigtimeauto will be getting a 2022 ?

I think I know your friend, is he in Palm Beach?
