I ordered a pair of Cooper 305/35-20s to put on my factory Hellcat rear wheels. They arrived today and WOW they look absolutely huge compared to the 275s!

You guys sure these things will fit??

Sorry guys, been offline for a day or two. I'll try to answer all the questions here.

Theyre the RS3-S. I heard 305s would fit although slightly too big for the wheels. Sure hope so!

My car gets here on 3/16 (next Monday). I plan to swap these out in the first day or two. Will let you all in know how they are!

I wanted drag radials, but for street safety (hydroplaning) and cost I went with these. By far the cheapest decent tires I've found. $175 each! Theres even a $70 rebate on top of that if you buy 4. I wanted to try them out before committing to another pair though.

A couple people on the board had 305s on factory wheels. One said no figment issues, the other said they used a heat gun to slightly modify the inner quarter liner.

Guess I'll find out...if I can find a place to install them. Maybe Target. ;)

I mounted up my 305 35 20's today. I am going to go get a jug of 109 unleaded tomorrow. There is talk of test and tune at the local 1/8th mile track Sunday.. For shits and giggles i wanted to see of my 17" weld rts 's would fit the front. Not even close, lol.. I knew they wouldn't, but dang it was way too small. I called racestar wheels and asked them if they had anything and they said they are working on a wheel, but it wouldn't be produced until 2016. Has anyone actually looked at the drive shaft on these things? We put ours up on the lift today and looked around. I thing the shaft that fits in the rear end is about 1" in diameter! I am going to see about getting one made local.

Here's another one! Looks like 305s fit just fine to me. Am I missing something here?

Doubt the dealership will do it either.

Just to wrap up this thread...

I got the tires mounted at my delaership - no issues. The tires on the other hand really suck. Traction is terrible. Much less than the factory summer tires, even in the bigger size.

The tires rub ever so slightly on cornering, but the plastic liner is so thin and light that it's not causing any damage whatsoever. Thre are two easy fixes for this since there's lots of room behind the liner: 1) use a heat gun to reshape the plastic 2) drive a sheet metal screw through the liner to pull it away. Either one will work fine and not be noticable at all.

I wouldn't be concerned about rubbing with 305s. I may end up going with stock sized DRs in my search for traction since brands and sizes available are limited, but I like the look of the wider tires.

Unfortunately no pics available that show much.
