Made in USA? Your engine was made in Mexico and you car assembled in Canada, by a company based in Italy and you're interested if the tires are "Made in the USA"? Not being rude, just curious.
It's a global market for sure. I have no issue with things being made elsewhere but if given a choice I'll keep the work here. If I was able to purchase two tires (whatever) that I thought were of equal quality. One being made in the USA and the other being made in XYZ. I would pick the USA made tire. If I thought the XYZ tire was better. I would go that route. Just my logic. Not saying I'm right or anything.

Self denial is step 1 of being in denial :D
Oh, I did not deny it anywhere in my sentence. I was more referring to the fact that Hellcat1 and I are not the only ones who stray from the topic! *cough* Hellcatdotclub *cough* Now, what was the topic? Oh yes, My Hellbeastie wants big meaty tires to match his big butt!!! LMAO! I will put on there whatever the experts tell me will work. I defer to DrBuick when I want help.:D:D

A couple people on the board had 305s on factory wheels. One said no figment issues, the other said they used a heat gun to slightly modify the inner quarter liner.

Guess I'll find out...if I can find a place to install them. Maybe Target. ;)

Hubbs, I think the only mod I have read about was the 315's with the 22mm offset. I will promise more research and transparency next weekend. Looks like I pick mine up this week. I will be into the measuring room Saturday morning and will be glad to post our opinion and measurement/clearances.

I mounted up my 305 35 20's today. I am going to go get a jug of 109 unleaded tomorrow. There is talk of test and tune at the local 1/8th mile track Sunday.. For shits and giggles i wanted to see of my 17" weld rts 's would fit the front. Not even close, lol.. I knew they wouldn't, but dang it was way too small. I called racestar wheels and asked them if they had anything and they said they are working on a wheel, but it wouldn't be produced until 2016. Has anyone actually looked at the drive shaft on these things? We put ours up on the lift today and looked around. I thing the shaft that fits in the rear end is about 1" in diameter! I am going to see about getting one made local.

Here's another one! Looks like 305s fit just fine to me. Am I missing something here?
