Kate my daughter and I met Josh @ his HHP shop early Saturday morning. I was very excited to be finally getting "Top Cat" back to the track. Once again we would start chipping away to meet my Husband Top Cat's 8.xx Goal
The weather forecast of scattered showers had me worried. It didn't help when some rain drops sprinkled on my windshield on the drive down from Pa to DE. ( I didn't mention that to Josh)

Upon arriving at HHP I knew it was going to be a busy day for Josh with 4 other cars were already loaded up to go. And one of those belonged to a customer meeting him at the track for testing of his car. Kate and I had our cars going too we finished loading up the trailers and off like a cargo train we went to Cecil County Dragway. We could see the track was already very busy with the racers finally getting in some T&T.
It is great to come and find our pit spot was saved for us by other HHP's customers. We are All friends having some racing fun together
It is impressive for me to watch Josh work his keyboard tuning while so much is always going on! Josh is a pretty laid back guy and takes his day in stride answering questions in the pits from customers and walk-ins to making sure Kate and I are set to go.
But I know on his mind is "Top Cat". I watch and know he is thinking about wanting to succeed with my husband's goal!

John knew the goal he wanted for Josh to achieve would not be that easy to do.He knew the Tuner would be "Key" for his goal and believed and trusted Josh was the man with the skill to do it!John and Josh worked in tandem together but John could pressure Josh at times wanting things to happen quicker. But Josh's way was a "stay the course method" Good thing Bruce was around. They kept John and Top Cat on the track testing and tuning the R&D of parts.

This day was exciting to me and hoping to finish Top Cat's goal. But I also know a goal of 8.xx would not be easy to achieve.

We are hoping to finish this round as Top Cat wanted.
In case a limit had been found, well my husband gave Josh and I instructions on what he wanted to be done. He also had many parts already ordered and in process mfg for his Mighty Challenger. Mfging Parts for the modern Hemi world takes a loooooong time.

I just don't think some people realize how much Josh works. And aside from tuning there is really so much more he does at his shop! There were many weekends John would go down to HHP and worked on his HC or mine with Bruce in the Garage. Also, Bruce was building his own X275 race car and John would help him with that too. ( Me I went for tax-free shopping)


Me as the person who had the first R&D car tuned for the Diablo software ......I had seen first hand how hard Josh was working on the tuning tables. The 3 of us together were at the track 2 to 3 x a week.Sometimes John or I would drive Josh to the track, so he could continue working on his LT with Tunes for other customers too.
I had never seen Josh without his laptop and watched him searching in the tuning tables to find out how to make the Hell Cat's go Fassssster!! Even during the out of town MSHS races, you could find Josh in the hotel lobby with all of us after a day of racing. He would be in a chair still working on the keyboard on his laptop making sure he kept up with his customers and his schedule. 2 to 3 xs a week "Our Date Nights" are priceless in so many ways.
And now if you listen to Top Cat's mighty Challenger go down the track, you can hear how much better it sounds?
That has a lot to do with some new things Josh has been learning some new Tuning ideas

( I remember when they got me! Top Cat 9.70 Me 9.71 if I wanted it TC said I had to work for it....how we pushed each other! )


I would like to post here and tell Josh Thank You for what you do for all of us who want to go Fassster!!!
And to let you know how much Kate and I appreciate your continued support at the track for us.
Also, I am very proud of you for your all your hard work to accomplish the goal in the way Top Cat asked you to achieve it!!

I know Top Cat would also be very proud of you too!!!

Wow Linda, that second launch was awesome! Thanks for the post, I could hear your excitement reading it.

Yes, I was very excited!!!!! I was up Top in the staging lanes taking a cell video, which isn't that great.
When 9.15 lit up I was in my car with a pretty loud Woooooo WTG Josh and looking up to heaven!!!!!!

NOT YET

My husband of course was Taller than me and Josh Towers me. "Top Cat" is set up right to run 8.xx. The seat is a race seat which is installed not to move. There my legs are not long enough to race it. But I did drive it back to the pit as Josh was testing another car. With the race set up I wasn't sure how it would be to drive.
I was surprised as it was no different than when I drove it before.

Once the goal is met, then the car will be changed for me to also run the 8.xx as my husband wanted me to that for him.
He also wanted me to continue racing with his car. For now I enjoy taking my HC Hell Cat working on my reaction Time and launching.

Yes, we are certainly getting close. Josh is awesome and doing a Fantastic Job!
My Charger has had a few things changed that I am working on getting use to. I only made 2 passes, that were OK . I was more excited to be watching Josh Take "Top Cat " down the 1/4 mile.
My daughter Kate was there too she can be seen right behind Josh in our 2010 Furious Fuchsia Challenger. She is really good bracket racer and wants to be ready for Challengerfest 8.

There is also Zlumlord he loves Mopar and he was there when I was stock and posted up a video of my Charger on Yellow Bullet and they liked it. Tuff crowd there!

That's Awesome Linda, but I gotta say I'm like a 2 year old kid when I start hearing the bes cam and ported this and that!!! Lol!!!

I knowwwwww!!!! As a customer of many who works with HHP and the R&D "Top Cat " is not the only Hell cat that has tested the Cam, but we do have parts installed to continue the goal John wanted us to. Everything that is being done already had John's approval and some things he ordered last summer.
BES is just a Great Company all around. If we find the limit with the Hell Cat short block I will be having a BES engine Built for Top Cat and then I think we will have a new project to start

So now you Know the Cam is track proven and is doing it job!

Linda this is so awesome!! Josh is doing some amazing tuning and always shares the best tunes with his customers! Oh yes he can drive too ! He has always done the best with my tuning. Last two times he called me at 9:00 pm still working and spent 30 plus minutes on the phone perfecting my tunes. I always enjoy talking to him. You'll be 8 seconds soon...

Josh's Tuning work is Amazing and you are right how he shares his Best Tunes with his Customers!
You know as he was learning the tuning tables and gaining knowledge the Fastest Title went around between several customers.
Josh would learn something on this car and then apply it to that car and all the cars had his best tunes just like you say.
Sometimes and even Top Cat did this .....Customers wanted certain parts installed and that could be a game changer.

That's Right ........"Oh yes he can drive too"
John and I were very proud to sign off on Josh's Super Comp License and in return Josh was very honored for my Husband to do so!!!

Way to go Linda! Continually turning the true dreams and goals of your hubby into reality...not much more a man could ever ask for...he is proud...just like the rest of us...

Hell Cat.org is like a Big City that houses many of my Husband's posts and videos of the progress from the R&D and T&T of our cars.
He really loved being part of Hell Cat.org and Posting all his news here.
It was the Best, crazy and hectic time getting to the track 3 times a week with Josh ( our date night) but it was a wonderful and amazing Fasssst Fun time at the Track together with our Hell Cats. ( Our daughter Katelyn was there also with us too)
John just loved everything about his Hell Cat from the modifying racing down the 1/4 car, watching and encouraging me and was excited for every accomplishment I made, just as I was for him sometimes I think because he dreams were big as you can see in my signature "push" I challenged him because I knew he could reach his goal! I too am sorry he is not here. But as many posts up, "he is looking down" and he is........ making sure I follow through and I will!
