That sounds suspect. OEMs have to put a speed limiter to match the tires speed rating. There are no separate speed ratings for "racing" on tires.

My guess is the car's limiter is higher (and 168 like the tires are rated) and this is just a "at your own risk clause".
The way I read is it will exceed 149mph in drag mode and you should never exceed 149 in street mode.

Where was that? I wish I had 2.7mi! (We only have 1.5 here. :() You can really see in the vid that the pull really drops off at 180 or so, before that these cars are monsters!

Your ignorance and disrespect for a national tragedy and for the people that died is very disappointing.
In his defense arent there more shuttles than that one? You werent very specific about which one you were talking about. I dont think he was intentionally disrespecting a tragedy.

Your lack of humor and ability to jump to incorrect conclusions is far more aggregious. I'm no rocket surgeon but I'm pretty sure most capsules touched down in the ocean upon re-entry. Now Elons landing boosters on ships. It was a joke. Nothing I said had anything to do with the Columbia or the Challenger. Relax.
