So Greg Steadman really pulled through. I have the car back, still some issues but Greg is working with me. Thats is what I wanted.

As to the motor, while this could cause comments on either side of the fence, here is what was decided.

1. Compresion on all 8 looked good.
2. Leak down was good.
3. Plugs looked good.
4. Bores looked nice.
5. Some powder in the pan when it was pulled, more on that at the end.
6. Main caps pulled and the bearings looked good.
7. Piston skirts did not have scratches on them.

I guess what Greg is thinking is that the block did not get cleaned well. The oil has been changed a few times just to see, seems ok. Again, the tune is a bit wonky and the car seems like it loads up; however, Greg is working with me on that.

I would delete this entire thread and redo it if I could. But, its as much a statement of my impatience, lack of understanding, and knee jerk temper as it is to what went on. Yeah, it sucks we had to go through all that to get Greg involved. But Greg Steadman, solid guy. To the point. What he told me was consistent.

The motor was just the first part anyway. I still have trans and rear to get to over the next few years.

You are impatient. Lol glad you’re all settled down now

@shademaker I'm glad Greg stepped up to the plate and has been working with you.
As far as deleting your thread, maybe it will Gate keep the Petty's reputation to where it belongs. There is quite a lot of learning lesson in here and it may help other members to know and understand how the process of building and tuning a Hellcat.

I hope you will be able to get everything fixed properly and then have fun at the track!

Thanks for sharing and keeping us informed!

No, thank you @Linda's Hell Cat . Your kind words helped. I mean its a car, but its my car and I was in a weird spot with all of this. It was nice to have someone just be nice and let me know it would be ok. Thanks again and hope to meet you one day.

It's been tuned by them twice. I have pulled both tunes, what it was before they got it.

It's weird, they made me purchase new cats but disabled the epa regulated emissions. He also disabled the ac diagnostics. Any idea why he would have disabled that? Made a point to show me the ac worked to...when it's was delivered. I mean, it works but stalls the car out.

Dude come on don’t go down that road. Idk what to believe with this anymore

Look at the log I posted. Just trust me. The missfire monitors are disabled to. Just saying, seems odd. Other tuners files are not like that. Just watch the log. Be interested what you think.
Doesn’t seem odd. That’s what tuners do. You have to change thresholds and turns things off. I had a whipple 4.5. Misfires were turned off. Logs shows misfires. Still put down over 900whp. Take it somewhere else dude idk what to tell you anymore. If you don’t know what you’re looking at that’s one thing, but the problem is you don’t trust petty - which is understandable. Have another tune it, get a refund for the tune part from petty, and move on.
