Hey, I was looking around to stock up on some oil and looked into both the Pennzoil and the Amzoil.
These are apparently the only two oils which Dodge couldn't squawk about at this time.

Pennzoil SRT seems to be a proper ripp off so I checked into Amsoil.

Of what I can tell Amsoil are really good products.
I don't personally have any experience with either as I always used
Mobile 1 so I'm ok with both.

I can get Amsoil 0-w40 in boxes of 12 bottles (946ml) for 124.20 +HST (13%).

If you think this is a good deal let me know if you want to chime in!
We'd have to be able to meet west of the GTA or else potentially at the April GTA meeting.

As far as I know the only oil 'recommend' by FCA is Pennzoil ultra 0W-40 - which I have yet been to find a source besides the dealership.

The other oils you mentioned are all great and are probably good to use. I have been using Mobil 1 oil on my Trailblazer since day 1 without any issues.

I'm not going to be due for my first oil change for a little while (car is in storage) so I have a little time to find something suitable.

I don't remember, how far west are you?

Amsoil meets/exceeds FCA's requirements for the Hellcat - Chrysler MS-12633.
I have been using Amsoil in my HEMIs since 2008 without any issues whatsoever. It's excellent oil.
I also use WIX filters in my Cat (NAPA Gold). Stock up on them when they go on sale.

Same as ChallengerDad here. I use Amsoil in every motor I have, especially the Hemis. Sign up for the preferred customer program and you'll save some money. They also have free shipping every so often at least here in the US.

Well at a little over 10bucks a litre or quart if you will. It is cheaper than the penzoil. At least around here. I have only found Pennzoil at the dealer and one of them want 15+ a bottle. Another that I get deals at is 12+ a bottle. Thanks for posting I will look into and oil around here.

I run Amsoil signature in mine. Have run their products in my cars for the past 15 years. I have done testing in the duramax, and basically come out at about double drain interval before results show it should be changed. Ran it in my Evo for 10 years with 10k mile intervals and never had any wear products to speak of, so plan to run standard interval on the cat and see how the results come back for a few times, may extend depending on what it shows.

Guys
I'm just offering up a deal here. To each his own, no worries.
I'm going to order anyway so I thought I'd let you guys know.

Fact is that this oil complies with FCA's requirements and therefore is ok to be used in the HC.
FCA cannot dictate a certain brand, only a standard which needs to be met.
Unfortunately at this time it's only Pennzoil and Amsoil that are tested for MS12633 in 0w40.

Don't let yourselves be fooled into paying high prices through the dealership just because they tell you to do so.

Anyone who wants to pitch in please let me know by Thursday.
