what is your reason for 15 min?> seems long no?

 

It is usually 10-15. Moving car seats and getting everything together takes abt that time.
But if you are starting at that temp I would say 10 mins would be good, I love heat quicker rather than later also.

yeah I pretty much bought the hellcat for the heated steering wheel

 

Use same MO all year long on my daily driver. Start and let idle naturally step down to it's normal idle (< 1 minute). Always drive easy for first few minutes and when it's colder, I drive easier for a bit longer.

 

Hi Harry I took mine out yesterday. I just let it run for maybe a minute and then drive easy till temps come up.
It'll warm up faster driving than idling In the driveway. If you want more just use the remote start when your ready to go. By the time your settled in it'll probably be 5 or 10 min.
Hope this helps. But it is just my opinion tho.

 

good points. this morning it was 32f and the reading on oil temp was 40F and Supercharge coolant was at 32. so best to do what u mentioned

 

No warmup at all. Fire it up, check for obstacles and head on out. I don't, however, put my foot through the firewall until it's up to temp.

 

no warm up for me either. i start it and put my seat belt on then basically drive off. I try not to stomp it for the first few miles though

 

Usually let it run long enough for the engine to quit missing and stumbling - 5-15 seconds before dropping in gear and moving out. Drive reasonably for a short time. In the old days I never let my old carburetor cars warm up for more than a few seconds, I sure won't waste time on a new one.
Now if it is -15F or something I will do some warm up but 32F, no need.

On the face of it, that doesn't sound good. I've never experienced misses or stumbles save the one time the car quit outright and lit the dash up like a Christmas tree.

 

Oh dam I hit the button and drop into gear as soon as it lets me. Off I go........

 

I don't live in a cold climate but I always hit the remote start and let it run for a few minutes while I'm getting ready.

 

I let mine run until the oil temp hits 85-90°. Not sure if it's necessary but it's my preference
