I have another thread on here that I posted on concerning the exact same issue. I had a 2020 redeye that always smelled like coolant/antifreeze after obtaining operating temp. Never lost coolant, never dripped a single drop on the ground. I traded it for my new 2021 SS. Then at about 4000 miles, it too smells of coolant after getting up to operating temps. Same thing, never leaks (that you can find), never loses coolant, and never overheats. Even when 90 degrees, in traffic, with AC on. Zero noticeable issues. On the 20 redeye, dealer supposedly pressure tested it for 30 minutes and declared no leak. Even though everyone could smell antifreeze. I am gonna bite the bullet and buy a pressure tester, pull all of the belly pan plastics off underneath and fine tooth comb the whole setup. Like on the 20 redeye, doesn’t seem to hurt anything or lose coolant, just bugs the crap out of me!
Yea same here. I can't find any signs of a leak. I have pressure tested, looked over everything and I don't see any signs of a leak. A couple people have said that they don't smell antifreeze. Maybe I'm just being dramatic lol. I have just seen several threads on coolant leaks and such. I bought a new cap to try. figured that was a cheap place to start and just see if it makes a difference.

check your coolant tank reservoir cap. I did the pressure test too and it was as all good, so it was just vapor leaking past the bad cap. I swapped in a new cap and all good
Awesome. I have a new cap in the garage as we speak. Been snowing here though so haven't had a chance to put it on and drive the car yet. Hopefully that will fix the issue.

my 2015 wrangler did that since new. Had it back to the dealer 3 times and they couldnt find a leak. Had pressure tests and leak down tests that found nothing. My son in law is the head mechanic at a big diesel repair shop here and he took it for a week trying to find where it was coming from and couldnt find it either. Odd thing is the coolant level never drops either. Well 60k later i quit worrying about it. Son in law said if he had to guess the heater coil has a tiny pin hole leak and that as long as its not hurting anything it isnt worth the big job or changing it.

Thanks for the reply! It definitely doesn’t seem to be causing any trouble. It just irritates the crap out of me lol.

My 16 does this on occasion….all same things that have been said….no leaks…no signs of any loss of coolant but I know the smell and it while faint….it’s there.

Strangely, I have a 2020 Ram 1500 and it does it as well.

I wonder if the caps on both are bad….maybe it’s Chrysler thing?

Look for any seepage around water pump. Sometimes when they go bad you’ll smell it but no noticeable drips.
I second this. I have a 392, smelt coolant every once in a while, chevked my water pump, and tons of dry coolant all over it. Turns out the water pump gasket was leaking slowly and didnt notice until I checked. Still smell coolant occasionally, but no leaks anymore

2016, smelled coolant once in a while too, then one day REALLY smelled it after it all blew out at the end of a 1/4 run and it left me stranded on the side of the road, thought I popped the engine. Nope, the radiator popped. Passenger side, the inlet to the radiator side. The tank blew off the radiator, looked like it had been creeping out for a while. There is a TSB out there on this. Replaced radiator with a Misimoto all aluminum radiator. It’s impossible to see this with radiator installed, even after it blew out.
