I was looking at the specs and noticed it said it had powder forged rods just like the redeye says. Is this true or a mistake in printing???

This article is pretty good at breaking down key differences…

I was confident with those powder coated rods too...

Then a rod said peek a boo...

You have to realize when the factory does these testing dyno sessions they run the engine wide the **** open for an extended period of time. Not sure how long but it is not a sweep dyno pull to just measure hp output.
You are correct. Most likely while on the dyno for testing, one of the tests is something like the engine is set to do a sweep of 5k rpm to near redline while the load is being applied from the dyno, for hours at a time. I'm sure they have all sorts of destructive testing parameters they go through for the longevity testing.

I found the test a long time ago but can’t find it. I think the engine had to pass full throttle testing for about 5 days straight at redline to pass(demon motor at full throttle 24/7 for 5 days straight). Here is for Toyota:

180hrs at full throttle.

This article has a quote from K

“It’s not so easy to do. We run these things on wide-open throttle for hours and hours on end, 24-7. The testing on these things is just brutal. So far we’ve grenaded seven engines, but I think we’ve got it figured out.”

doesn’t say how many days though.

Is that under a load or just free spinning? There is a big difference between the two. Under a load and sitting full tilt at redline for a week would be brutal. Free revving at redline for a week is also pretty brutal, but nothing close to what stresses would be going on with a load.
