Todd from FG post a few hours ago for cars that got built today. Looks like only 17 got built. Not hitting the 35 car daily target but still plugging away at them. I just wonder if the parts are getting a little thin?

If you would have read the last line of the post said "plant shut down early cause the ran out of parts".
the factory ran out of parking brakes for all 3 lines.

Yikes!

Honestly though it was bound to happen at some point. This strike started 22 days ago. I’m surprised they kept things going as long as they did.

Yes and of all things a buddy of mine told me yesterday he cant even believe the risk they are taking without shipping the cars already built. What risk I asked? He replies with the fall weather here one good hail storm with all those cars just sitting could wreak havoc and be one hell of a giant cluster duck insurance claim. Oh geez I said dont even think that!

It’s not hail season though. That was back in May and June. Snow coming so that could delay shipping (whenever that happens).

PS At this pace (~105/week since ~20 July) ~2200 cars get built by 20 December. Less if they dip below 105/week. To build them all they will have to double that long term average to 210/week.

So long as this strike drags on, I don’t see it happening. 2000+-seems possible though.

Hopefully only dealer stock orders get axed.

True however with the current parts shortage of brakes that Todd on FB posted yesterday things are getting messy again. Plus there could easily be other parts shortages. Dodge does not make brakes and a lot of other parts so lets hope that the parts they need to continue building is shipped to Brampton on common carriers and they dont reply on the Stellantis UAW drivers/trucks to deliver them. I still say there could be an extention to build into 2024 for a month or two but many here said it cant and wont happen. These are crazee times and nothing surprises me anymore.

Plymouth built 2,724 AAR `Cuda's between the dates of 11 March and 17 April 1970 at the Hamtramck, Michigan assembly plant. This over a five-week period. Different times today with strike and building new Supercharged High-Performance engine. Like you said, just hope all "sold" orders get built.

If anyone is interested I have 3 allocations/orders for demon 170s in Miami for 100k over…..
Nice first post. Do normal ppl actually do this? Insane risk.

1. We don't know you from a hole in the wall. I guess you want that 100K (or some big #) upfront. lol
2. Your name is currently on the allocation. Which means two (both bad) options exist going forward.
3. Option A is the car gets sold to you then you turn around and sell to "me". Assuming you haven't simply disappeared with my deposit. In the best case, now I'm the second owner. Echh.
4. Option B is you tell the dealership now that you want "me" to buy the car and "I" will be the one that takes delivery. In this case, I also pay +10,000 MSRP since the car is no longer price-protected from the MSRP hike that went into effect on 8/30/23. Theoretically, in this case, "I" would be the original owner but the dealer can instead choose to give us both the middle finger and decide to sell it/auction it to the highest bidder. I lose my initial deposit to you as a special bonus (read: lawsuit coming). An awesome time for all.

I guess some people are both desperate and dumb. You might want to try a different forum.

And I hope your dealership gets NOTHING! You COULD have found some loyal customers and let them order the car at MSRP for being loyal but you chose to be the greedy slimeball that the stereotype says car dealers are. Back of the line for you if TK told any truth to the matter.

Since Todd on FB provided a recap of cars built here is a recap of the working days left.

There are only 16 working days in October, 22 days in November, and 11 days in December=49 working days, not including any Saturday's. NOTE: The Canadian Thanksgiving holiday on Monday October 9 and Remembrance Day Saturday November 11 was taken into account and not included. Others here have also said the plant closes on Sunday December 17 for the Holidays and that is the last possible day any production can take place.

There are 59 working days left if they work the remaining 3 Saturdays in October, 4 Saturdays in November, and 3 Saturdays in December. Either way 49 working days or 59 working days allows for no room for error of any kind and the time is getting tight.

With 2153 cars left to build they will need to build 44 cars per day (no Saturday's) or 36 cars per day if they work all the Saturdays. Not sure if this is an option but they could always work 2 shifts as needed and bang them out. It will very interesting to see if they can pivot and some how get this done.

Thanks for the math there! That makes it a little more clear. So it looks at least possible that they can get it done with that breakdown, assuming parts availability wont be a factor. I have a very uneducated guess here, but I suspect that when they finally start shipping out the over 1000 cars in storage and get them gone, they will ramp up production as space is freed up. But again - just a guess with no intel on that.
