Does the Launch Mode on the Charger not work? Ive tried it 3 times now and do as instructed. Break hard, quickly press throttle. And my car just starts to do a burnout. . . . Dont think this is the way it is supposed to work haha. It works great on my srt8 jeep.

Any ideas or info?
Thanks

im not sure if it actually restricts input to the wheels until you let off the break or what but thats what it seems to do on my jeep. Well what it is supposed to do lol because clearly doing a burnout isnt doing what it is supposed to do to launch the car haha

Please read page 362, through 364 of your owners manual. Once setup, apply the brakes, quickly go to WOT, check for count down in DID, release brake, keep WOT, keep the wheels straight and hold on.

It is rather simple, you have to be on a level surface and wheels need to be pointing straight. Start with launch mode rpm at 1500.

Hit the launch button the screen on the dash will tell you that you are ready. Hold down the brake pedal with your left foot and when ready push the gas pedal to the floor. It should hold the rpm to 1500, let go of the break and have fun!

I can't wait to try it but it looks like I'll have to wait for 310 more miles.

Lower the rpm to 2000 or less. In the launch setting The stall converter is like 2100 that's why the tires spin.
Soooo definitely doesn't work. Tried it 5+ times. Even lowered the launch setting to 1500 and 1750. Car revs up way beyond what I set it too and starts spinning the tires. Or if in regular / non sport or track mode it stutters forward and then traction control kicks in and my car smells funny now. But definitely something isn't working correctly, at all lol.

When you press launch button it gives you instructions between the tach and speedo. The launch switch will light up.
In will say hold break firm I think and steering wheel must be straight. I was going to video it didn't have time tonight.
When I was at the drag strip I could not get it to work at the staging lanes.

Yepp it gives me the instructions. If im moving it says speed needs to be at 0mph and if the wheel isnt straight is says fix that shit! lol. I even tried letting off the break and then reapplying it to see if maybe it wasnt registering it. Both times no option. I will need to film it i think to show what it is doing. I even tried depressing the throttle not so quickly but every time the rpm shoots up and starts doing a burnout and then kinda stalls it down. Probably because traction control maybe?

I fave up trying to use it at the drag strip. To many buttons. And you have to hold the buttons to long after sitting in the staging lanes start engine then shut car off then start again every time setting to custom setting then traction control off. Shifter to manual then back to automatic. Then launch button .

Yup - it is actually really simple. i do it all the time on a long straight i have at home.like he said. just put it in track mode. hit the launch button, hold the brake to the floor then put the gas to the floor. then release brake and leave gas on the floor - and your off. dont over think it.... ps - you have to have at least 500 miles on the odometer to activate launch control.

Maybe i have misunderstood the launch mode, but when in launch mode, and it's activated, arent i supposed to be able to apply the break, apply full gas, and then when the light turns green let go of the break and launch it? i follow the dash instructions, press break fully, then as soon as i quickly apply full gas the car starts to do a burnout..... My car has over 6,000 miles on it so i have plenty of miles. I have tried settings from 1,500 rpm on the launch settings all the way up. Every setting gives me the same results.

OK, you are doing these steps:
1. Get the car on a level road.
2. While in drive, left foot on the brake pedal, push the launch button.
3. Set the car to track mode and set launch RPM.
4. Check the DID
5. Press the accelerator to the floor and hold it.
6. Check the DID to release the brake while keeping the gas to the floor.
You should see a countdown in the DID and you're off.
