OK cool, didn't know that about Octane Red. I thought Redline Red was the last.

There was also tri-coats Ivory White (2015/16) and the only one year Hellcat color, Phantom Black (2015) but don't know if they were pearl or not.

2022 started the money grab on colors.

Hellraisin
Go Mango

Were also $395 last year.

They charge $395 extra for Octane Red Tricoat code PRV. 2015 to 2023. Also called Delmonico Red, Red Velvet, Passion Red, and (my favorite Willy Wonka reference) Snazzberry. The aftermarket paint suppliers list it as a tri-stage and a pearl. So we are both right I guess! ;)
So the Velvet Red 300C for 23 is the same as Octane?

Yes it is. When it came over to Challenger and Charger they thought it didn't sound tough enough so they changed the name.

The same year Ceramic Grey became Destroyer Grey, Jazz Blue became Contusion Blue and Bright White became White Knuckle.

And somewhere along the way they dropped the Crystal off Granite Crystal and it just became Granite.

Interesting PRV does return tri-coat formulas, but PRR (also Octane Red) does not.

The more Octane Red cars I see in person the more I like it. My wife loves the O R. Gotta keep her away from NJ or she may see Steve. Lol
Must be a wife thing. My wife loves that color too, especially with the red interior.

My original ‘23 order was for Octane Red. Changed it because I decided it was just a little too dark for me. Getting Go Mango instead. Really wish they had brought back Redline.

Code PRV
Code PPG

Same color huh? Interesting, look it up.

I own a 2018 Jeep (Red Velvet) and a 2019 Dodge (Octane Red) and see different codes.

Do they look the same? Close, but buy some touch up paint and it gets interesting.

My '15 Charger is Ivory Pearl tri-coat, and my '20 Jeep SRT is Velvet Red Pearl. Both show slightly different colour and pearl orientation on the plastic parts. Completely normal, and unavoidable given that I believe the plastic parts are painted separately. I had a black '94 Z28 and the nose cone was actually slightly brown and I removed it and repainted it myself, which made it match.
To my eye the Velvet Red Pearl is a bit different than Octane Red ( which I consider the best colour ever! ) but if it is the same code I'd be real happy about that.
A buddy has a Subaru in Sage Green. It is the same colour as his house. When he parks in his driveway you'd think he's not at home......awful.

I like paintref.com for checking paint codes and they show PRV for 2018 Jeep Velvet Red.

Took the Redeye for its first spring time drive. And I figured out that the color is actually Sriracha Chili Sauce red. (Or at least the Demonic Red interior matches it.

There, I settled it for everyone.

And I was able to get the last four bottles in town.
