That he was right, they're bringing (allegedly) back high performance cars that will be quite expensive over 100k+ ....however (allegedly) there might be a couple more cost effective options that won't be 100k+ that others could afford.......and (not allegedly) it was torture to listen to the entire thing as he kept clearing his throat like there was a frog in it (had to watch World Cup Qualifiers while it was on just to stay awake).....
The 4 banger, V6 etc models of the Charger, Camaro, Mustang, etc are what makes the money so that we can have the big V8 versions. Stellantis is a joke
After all the Dealer ADM's from the end of the Hellcats, I will NEVER buy anything from them again. I was lucky to get mine before that fiasco happened. Nope, I don't care what they build next, I'm done with Dodge & their Dealers.
You guys are so ungrateful we gave you the underpowered 5.7 hemi back and will continue to put it in suv/truck platforms but no car that’s not good enough?
All I want is a short bed/short cab 2wd RAM w/ the Hellcat and Redeye powertrains. Throw in the 3.92 ratio as an option too. I'll have a positive view of Stellantis again with just that 1 vehicle. Real simple. I may even buy 2.
They won’t but they better look at F-150 single cab, 4WD with the Coyote and then go $15k or so over that. I think it’s somewhere around $12k to get a Whipple installed with a warranty.
ProChargers have gotten very popular on Coyotes. More power output than Whipples, half the cost. An HO stage 2 kit is around $6,500 and it only takes 3-4 hours to install one on a Mustang. No clue on an F-150. I don't think in all my days I've ever even popped the hood on a pickup truck of any kind That being said, you can install and tune a ProCharger car and the customer can pick it up by lunchtime if you start at 8am.
Heh, well right now Mustangs are on a nationwide NHTSA mandated Do Not Sell list until their electrical recall is fixed. It won't be completed until November for most dealerships.
Motor Trend had a rendering of what they think that the New Charger Hellcat might look like (looks very much like the Banshee Concept car, which was pretty nice looking to me). They said that the prediction would be around 900 hp with a possible hybrid option (I hope that means that it comes with a 700-800 hp ICE and a 200 or so hp electric motor to make it AWD). I think that it looks pretty darned nice especially with that hood on it!
Jeebuz. If the Hurricane version is 4816lbs and the Hellcat power plant is 400lbs heavier. Then we’re going to add a hybrid system with batteries and everything that goes with it along with widebody panels.
Hellcat version 5200lbs
Hybrid + 500lbs
Widebody + 100lbs
At that point why not get something much lighter and cheaper like a Durango Hellcat.
