Well, we can all pound our chests and give love for the manual, but for THIS car, you can't beat the stock A8.

As a previous owner of a big wagon with big power and a manual transmission - CTSV Wagon Manual, I think I have enough cred to say that I disagree, and that a manual in the Charger Hellcat would be just epic.

Pictures of my old manual wagon. And yes, even ordered it without sunroof.

You WILL NOT be disappointed

Agree 100% from a numbers perspective. From on the fun kick in the ass side you can't beat a manual. Take the Charger and put in the manual and diff from a Chally and I would need an IV and a Foley because I would not leave that car for at least a week.
Well you can't argue with fun of the manual trans, my point is that this particular chassis with its very high weight, huge torque and narrow rear tires make it best suited for an auto.
I understand that for some, that direct stick shift connection is enough, but from a vehicle dynamic stand point, the car performs better with an auto.
Plus, this particular auto is the best I've ever driven.

Very cool car, I've always liked the CTS-V wagon, especially in a stick.
My '14 GT500 makes 940+ rwhp through a Tremec 6-speed, and I've put a true street manual in the 9s with a drag radials over 10 yrs ago, so I very well know fast stick cars. BUT, you have to be honest with yourself and recognize that certain combinations would perform better, be more consistent and be easier on parts with an auto. Really, the biggest issue is weight, and this big girl is just too heavy IMO for a clutch. Not that it can't be fun, just overall a better car with the A8 and I'd bet significant money the A8 would outsell a manual if offered.

Tearing through the gears in my white M6 challenger makes me feel like kowalski I love it. But you can never go wrong with the charger and the A8 it's a beautiful combination.

Agree. Like I said from a performance standpoint you can't beat tha A8 and this tranny is as good as the Porsche PDK and anything out of Bavaria or Japan.

But, from just fun through the gears nothing will ever beat a manual. Even today enjoying the car in track mode and pushing the paddle shifters, fun but would enjoy the manual more but I need my 4 doors fo now.

If it was all about performance for me I would have a GT3 or twin turbo 911 or mclearen sort of car and not my heavy big girl.

Sadly by the time kids are gone and student Lao s are paid off I'll need a wheelchair so a mclaren and that sort of fun is out of my future.

............. and this big girl is just too heavy .........

I've noticed several members referring to their Hellcats as big girls, but they love them. I haven't assigned a gender to my car, but whatever.

Haha, well, I do love my big SRT girl. I usually don't assign a gender to my cars, but Call her a bad black b***h.
She just needs an auto's torque converter multiplication to get her going; kinda like the drinks needed for Ms. Yellow above
