My thoughts exactly...never did understand the need of sustaining speeds like that for that long. Anything walks out onto the road you are dead

Stock?
Demon: 1
Exorcist: 0

Warranty?
Demon: 1
Exorcist: doubtful: 0

Cost?
Demon: MSRP: 1
Exorcist: aftermarket: +$$: 0

Does it even pass emissions?
MPG?
Can anyone actually buy one?

Exorcist: meh.
Demon: FCA FTW.

Their mistake is putting it next to a Demon to gain clicks as if there's any meaningful comparison. If *GM* had made this and it was a production model that could be a different story.
Anyone can pour $$ into a car and make it go fast.
So far, my favorite mod is the 1000HP LMC super cuda:

Several things here...

It's a Hennessey promotional video (big surprise...)
Official topspeed runs require passes in both directions (to account for variables, which normally is for wind, in this case, a downhill grade maybe?)
I LOVE sustained topspeed, for me, it's a MUCH bigger rush than launching... The idea of instant, horrible, fireball-death makes your heart pump...

(Don't try this at home, ever...)

I met a motorcycle stuntman once. He said he always drives fast enough that he wouldn't possibly survive any crash. I suppose that would be better than terrible pain and suffering. It is certainly a different view on the world and life.

They did build a pretty cool car, I won't deny them that. But it is what it is. Comparing it to anything factory is just pointless IMO.

When I was in my early teens I had Hennessey's Viper articles on my walls. I dreamed of having one. In 2005 when he had the Srt10 truck that could out run the Mercedes Mclaren Slr, I wished for that too. I am disheartened over the years to hear the negativity about him and the way he does business. Maybe if you're doing something right, everyone will hate you at first. Sadly, I haven't heard this come around. Either way it doesn't matter to me since there are far better tuners for our Mopars. I do know for sure that the Exorcist will never be in my dreams and will absolutely never grace the walls of my garage.

Nice. What value does this have? Correct above, warranty? Durable? Cost? He speaks about a Demon (drag race); and says "well, we'll get to that at some point". What are we missing, I thought the Demon was built to be QUICK, not hold any top speed records? Let's get to it John, race a fully crated Demon, with something STOCK let's see it. OTHERWISE, we will go modify one and race you modified toy against modified toy. I am sure if any of us wants, we could build a top speed getter. I'll just take my simple old, little Hellcat and go nearly 200 mph when I want, John, STOCK! $64K. I never doubted if you add enough boost (power) to anything, it will go faster. Why don't he just take a simple Hellcat and add a couple few hundred HP for a few thousand and see what happens? It won't be that far off.

I got out a calculator and a stopwatch. Averaging some speeds, it takes up 2.3 miles of road btw 150-217 mph. So it probably takes about three miles to do this stunt. So glad you had some fun with it John, but it really does not compare in ANY respects to a Demon, I am sorry, your comparasions really are not valid at all.

Could it get any cheesier than a guy in a helmet standing on the side of the road holding a tire iron cross in his hand.

I know you guys throw a lot of salt at Hennessey. But the guys business is off the charts. He works on a massive amount of cars. If he was that bad why would he have so many Big Playas at his shop? Now I have seen some Butchers in the Modern Hemi World. Shops I scratch my head that they are still in business today.
