I have not used it but it looks to have great durability (2 year claim). It can be used on paint, glass, and wheels. If you are into claying, polishing, waxing/sealing your car regularly this is not for you. Proper paint prep is a must (decontamination, polishing, etc.). If doing this yourself I would practice on another vehicle first. It all depends on what you want. If your Hellcat is mostly garaged a sealant/wax combination would work. If it is a daily driver and sees a lot of weather a coating may be the way to go. There is a lot of factors to consider.

 

Pretty much spot on; however there are a few additional benefits to consider when considering CQuartz coatings that make them a great choice even for a "garage queen" car... superior gloss and depth, much greater hydrophobic properties and dirt/dust shedding when compared to a regular sealant or wax, and of course the much easier maintenance that comes with that.

I can't say enough about how impressed I've been with CarPro's coating line over others I've used in the past... so much so that my own vehicles, and even my lawn mower and snow blowers are coated!

 

Do it.

I had my car done in December. It is great and worth it. I have an 8 mil coating on the front of the car also on the mirrors, hood, bumper, quarter panels.

 

Just hearing of the Cquartz and think it might be good for our mostly garage kept and covered pitch black Hellcat. Had a 2013 TorRed SRT8 that we bought new off the lot in April 2014 and the swirls were very noticeable and it accumulated sticky debris a lot. Only clayed it once and polished. Didn't last long though - and we didn't have a cover for it either.

I am sure the cost is worth it, but just wondering in what neighborhood the cost is?
I realize it may vary in different parts of the country. There are two licensed places close to me.

 

With all of the research I did it will probably cost you about $1,000 for everything, exterior, interior, wheels, & glass.

Made an appointment for late March with mine...body, wheels, and glass, along with the XPel clear film on the front bumper and rocker panels. I can't wait...saw it in person the other day at a local shop that is certified and does the procedure....unreal...best finish I have ever seen on a car.

 

I'm having it done to some of my old cars. I will eventually get it done to my hellcat when it gets delivered in 2091 based on current timelines.

 

Just had my 70 cuda and jeep done, both look fantastic. Have guy coming back next weekend to do the hellcat (supposed to pick up next thursday) and 65 imperial convertible. Was very impressed

 

Had CQuartz done, Disapointed in the end shine.

 

Can I ask why you did not like it? Just curious.

 

Ceramic Pro has a very nice high gloss shine.
Very impressed with the pictures shown here in the forum.

 

Not to downgrade another company, but Ceramic Pro unfortunately makes a lot of untrue claims as to the capability of their product. Honestly Ive never had or even heard of anyone making a negative statement about the LOOKS of Finest, especially since side by side tests have shown that it has literally more noticeable gloss and depth than other popular coatings - and not just in photos online, but in person with the naked eye.

 

So are any of you purchasing the CQuartz product and doing the work yourself with this same "great" results?
I have no shop within 8 hours round trip and I don't think anyone would do any better job than me and I have watched all the videos and see what is involved.

I see we have a vender for the product on this site so does anyone have any pics of a Hellcat you did using this CQuartz DIY product?

If I had a shop local I would bite but Im not driving 8 hours for paint protection when I have a garage and more time than I have money...But can I do the same job with over the counter DIY CQ product?
Im still debating CQuartz or my old school Liquid glass as I know I can get fantastic results with that but it's a long process.

You're the first case I ever heard of someone being unhappy with the looks of Finest. If your installer was pointing out flaws that are hard to see, that means they were using procedures and lights to ensure the best possible finish. It's entirely possible that a defect is too deep to safely remove...would you rather have a light defect, or have to have a panel repainted because you wanted your detailer to cut too far in the clearcoat. You would be no less upset with Cermaic Pro, Opti-Coat, 22PLE, or any coating for that matter.
