In case anyone is interested. No surprises really but I know some people like visuals.

The one on the left is a 275/40/20 stock Pirelli all season on a 20x9.5 wheel.

The one in the middle is a 305/35/20 Continental ExtremeContact Sport on a replica 20x10.5" wheel.

The one on the right is a 335/30/20 Michelin Pilot Super Sport on a custom BC Forged RS41 20x11.5" wheel.

Man I wish that 335 would fit on the stock 11 inch WB wheel. Those would look awesome on the back. Think that’s just a tad to wide.

It is too wide for an 11", 335 just barely fits on a 11.5", it's the minimum wheel width. I would rather have used a 325, but theres almost no street tire choices in a 325, only road race tires.

Ya 11 inch wheel is kinda no mans land. Not a real good choice out there for the wide body. Half of me just says do the 305 555r’s out back and leave the no season on the front and be done with it.

If I owned a widebody, I would go with a custom set of 12" or 12.5" wheels on the back and use a 345. I don't have the widebody flares so I'm using the Phillips Lil' Devil flares, 335 is really pushing the limit of width on those flares although a 345 can fit if some inner fender mods are done. The widebody should have no issue with a 12.5" wheel and 345 width tire.

The 305 Nitto 555R is an awesome tire for daily driving other than the wet weather. You can drive them in the rain but they certainly don't inspire any confidence. It will get you from point A to B, but you need to be careful with them. And of course, you know they will wear much quicker than a street tire. I believe you could get close to the same traction with a 345 street tire as a 305 Nitto DR.

I would really love to have used a 345/30 Michelin PS4 instead of the 335/30 Michelin Pilot Super Sport, weird thing is that Tire Rack specs show they have almost the exact same dimensions so maybe the Pilot Super Sport is very wide for its size or the specs are off. I couldn't take a chance on the 345 PS4s without knowing for sure.

You've certainly got more options though with the widebody.

Not much difference. I have the charts from Michlien loaded up as favorites for God's sake, I reference them so much. They show the 345 just about a 1/4" wider, on a 12" and 0.2" taller. Both should work fine. If the 285/35 on a 9.5" could get the 707hp unit to 60 in 3.6 sec, these should work fine with the extra power. Half of the struggle is nailing that rear end down. Then magic can happen. Control arms, bushings set and labor as you know do it for about $2K.

Tnx for ur perspective. I have read a gazillion posts waiting for winter to end. From apparently experienced posters i see
" eh, 555rs rain, no problem" to
555rs rain, danger danger..."
I will consult my 8 Ball....

The Nitto 555g2 comes in a 315/35 option as well. Has anyone had any experience with these tires? Could do a square set up on the wide body.

If you're buying a 315/35, you just can't beat the Continental ExtremeContact Sport. Its quite possibly the best street tire available right now that's not a Michelin PS4.

Thanks for posting this. It is great for us visual folks.

It will be at the distance away from the inside about the same distance as a 10.5" 25mm, or say 11" 20 mm

An 11.5 with a 12mm sets exactly the same distance as the 10.5@25mm FYI. Can't be any closer IMO.

Every time i think i've decided to go with 305/35/20 nt555r's in the rear for my 2017 challenger hc, i see another cautionary wet comment. Mine's a daily driver in the desert sw in nm, but we do get our afternoon storms. Drive home is mostly 30-50 mph surface roads, but i do part on highway too...how squirrly are the 555rs in the wet? I want the dry traction, but wet comments making me think 555 g2s instead. Tnx
I'm in same boat as you, live in SW, daily. Did you pull the trigger? I'm also worried about how many miles it will last as a daily to be practical . .

Haven't pulled the trigger yet, waiting til sure snow is gone. Have had a few great pieces of advice. Rear gonna be PK HR5s, 10.5, 25 offset, 305/35/20 tires. I'm lucky to have retired pro race driver as a friend...advised start with street tires (as opposed to drag like 555r) so current plan is nt555g2s for wet issues. So thats where i stand....today, lol.

The g2's are horrible just fyi. Get the ps4's. That's probably about as close to having your cake and eating it too that you're going to get.

I can tell you the wheel and tire sizes but not sure on the offsets. Paul at PK Auto Design did the math for the offsets. I just told him what size wheels I wanted to use and how much extra width the flares were going to add and asked him to make it work.

The front wheels are 20x10.5" with a 295/35/20 Michelin Pilot Sport Sport tire. The rear wheels are 20x11.5" with a 335/30/20 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tire.

Man that looks good! Looks like you just have the flare on the back?

Doing 305/35 rears on 11" rims and 275/40 up front. as soon as this damn winter leaves. My car is a daily doing 30k a year so budget friendly tires leave me with the Indys and General GMax.

Has anyone run Firestone Indys for any great length of time and if so how were they?
