Hey gents,

From Sydney Australia, ordered my trackhawk 6 months ago finally arriving in 3 weeks.

I ordered a "launch edition" which is exclusive to the Australian market, it's essentially first market release with upgraded leather interior (AJD) to the laguna leather package (W8X6), bigger tyres 295/45/20 (TWC) with satin black alloys, dual pane pano sunroof (GWJ) , SRT High performance audio package (AJE) and custom launch edition badging numbered 1-64

I went with Diamond black exterior + Ruby red interior (bit different)

already organised to have the silver interior trimmings wrapped in carbon fibre film (hate the silver)

and the badges will be painted a different colour as well when the car arrives and 5% window tint all round

This will be my 3rd Jeep including a S/C 09 srt8 and a standard '15 model SRT8

FYI It's costing me almost $180k drive away (we get smashed here) the standard trackhawk is $160k

Looking to do some exhaust modifications, probably just the muffler / resonator delete and today I discovered the beauty to removing the helmholtz chamber?

anyone done any exhaust mods yet? I am good friends with caradvice.com.au they said the sound this thing makes is already unreal, I don't remember the last performance car that I left the exhaust standard on though..........

Welcome to the forum and community from Los Angeles. Congrats on the Trackhawk. You seem to be a bonafide Jeep GC nut and the TH is the perfect progression to the next level. You will definitely be hounded/stalked on the roads. Lol

Anyways happy holidays. Cheers!!

Good to see another Aussie joining the Hellcat community. I just moved back from USA (Houston) to Brisbane Australia (not so close to the OP unfortunately). Had to sell my Charger Hellcat when I left Houston in August. Anyway I think I was suffering from Hellcat withdrawal symptoms so I snuck into a Jeep Dealer here and put down a deposit just before Christmas. Not a Launch edition was too late for that and will have to wait until March or April for it to arrive.

I went for Bright White, Satin Black wheels, tow pack all the Aussie models get the good stereo and the moon roof apparently. Funny they said they could no longer take orders for the Ruby red interior, so must be some shortage there. I remember we had similar issues when the Hellcat Charger and Challenger came out in the US. To put all this in perspective for my Aussie brothers and sisters who haven't had the pleasure of driving a Hellcat before. . Basically as soon as you put your foot down you are going to forget what colour the exterior is and the interior. You will be in Hellcat heaven and nothing else will matter, you may even forget what day of the week it is.

Another Aus based Trackhawk owner waiting!

OP; I hope you haven't locked in that $180k as that is massively over the odds. Have you received it yet? My dealer is saying the LE won't be here til late Jan/early Feb and the regular TH will be landing in March/April.

It's been a very long wait but seriously cannot wait.

Just spoke to the dealer this week for a status update, they did have final pricing on all the options etc now for Australian customers (the difference in price say for the black satin lightweight wheels between the US and Australia is huge, like 3X more in Aus). But he mentioned that they were expecting the LE orders around now in Australia. They had VINS for all the LE orders but when he checked with FCA on status they were on still sitting in the US. Sea Freight timing from US to Australia can be around 6 weeks on average (from previous experience) then extra for customs clearance.

So it seems like the original estimates of when we are going to see the Trackhawks in Australia is slipping out a bit, possibly by up to 2 months. The dealer also noted that FCA US had not yet taken build details for the non-LE customers yet from FCA Australia (meaning they are not close to building them). Interested if any of the other Australian Trackhawk customers are hearing a similar story.??

I emailed my dealer this morning but haven't heard back yet, the salesman hasn't been very prompt at any point of the deal so far which isn't helping matters.

What's the price for the black wheels? I think I'll just stick with standard wheels as I'm going down the Velgan wheel route anyway.

If the LE orders are still 6+ weeks from arriving plus at least 10-14 days stuck in compliance on arrival, I highly doubt we'll see them before April. All in all which means regular orders are probably looking at May/June which is extremely disappointing.

In the US the Black wheels are $995 USD, in Australia the Dealer tells me approx $3500 AUD, I think even for the normal Jeep SRT that look at those sort of numbers for the wheel options in Aus. Then that would push up the Luxury tax even further. I should have stayed in the US.

Got final confirmation about 30 minutes ago. In the Laguna leather interior is eyewatering. $6700 pre taxes.

Drive away of $157,975 including Granite Crystal paint, Laguna leather and the lightweight wheels. Will keep them for resale.

Also they sent me a pic of the only trackhawk in Australia which is visiting all the main dealers.
