What # of Demon miles is too high to be considered new in years to come?

Is there a collector market standard of what is considered 'new' based on what a car's odometer has racked up? Ten years from now, will a Demon with 2000 miles on it be 'almost new', or in the Demon's case, under that magic 500 mile break in point?

In 10 years from now I doubt they will be worth more than they are now. I expect 15-30k lower than msrp, unless it is on that has under 500 miles and all paperwork and crate untouched ie brand new.

The car that maybe a rare find jewel is the Hellcat Widebody M6.

You sure can tell who didn't get a Demon on this forum by the responses.

Based on cars like the Ford GT, if you are under 1K miles, price goes up 20%. If you are under 500, price goes up 30% - 50%. One thing I can say for certain, unless it's a wreck, you will never see a Demon go for 30k under sticker. Ever.
Your analogy of the Ford GT pricing is a good one.

Really depends on the buyers, some guys are hard core whatever it has on the clock off the carrier, and then there’s the “it’s not new but it’s new to me” guys...for me any thing with over 30 miles has had to many road tests to be considered new

Once again Stone and I are on the same page, must be a yellow avatar thing. My guess would be the title wont make it not new if the miles somehow matched what it was titled with when sold new. If i were a buyer down the road i would still consider it new in that case. But after it’s driven beyond that then it wouldnt be new to me.
I’m not a collector and so i make up the rules as they apply to me as a buyer, so the definition of new may vary in other arenas.

OP: Yeah forget your "new" question. So few will be new (never titled 10-20 miles) that its sorta irrelevant. Now how will miles matter down the rad? Fair question and of course unknown. However to play along for s***s and giggles, and using past collectibles as a guide I would say in 5 years any Demons with less than 1000 miles will be premium priced. Some colors/color combos will bring a premium too (YTBD). Back to miles, I'd say over 10,000mi maybe 20-30% less (as others have said rel to cars sub 1K mi). Over 50,000mi 50% or more less. I do think the floor for clean carfax cars with no mods (or easily reversible ones) even with very high miles (say 50-75K) is still 90-100K 5 years from now. I'd say on the opposite pay scale the ceiling over that time would be ~ 2x that (eg 500 miles or less, perfect shape, crate in tact, maybe illegal color combo, etc)

And that may happen to the Demon, but once again a nearly new/very low mileage Demon will be at least 30% more than a well used one. My communication skills are definitely off today. LOL

Kind of off the subject a tad.I don't think most of these are going to be driven on the drag strip. Probably just raced on the street and from what I've seen on YouTube the Demon isn't doing to well.I know its early and a lot of guys don't have their cars yet.

Well for those that purchased the Demon as an investment I personally say more power to all of you that did that. :D

In my case I don't have any buddies that had or have $100,000.00 Dollars Plus to store a Demon until it brings lots and lots of monies, maybe

But, along the same lines I don't have any buddies that own Both the Hellcat (New) and the (New) Demon.

There are some very-very wealthy guys on this internet site for sure.

Longterm perception and value may also depend on the unexpected wildcard return of the 426 hemi in 2020, if ResumeSpeed is correct. (which he usually is). People may have different ideas of 'iconic' regardless of which one will have the highest horsepower vs that magic number of 426 cubic inches.

While you guys speculate this one, I’m gonna enjoy my Demon more than the next owner. I bought it new, let them consider about too many miles, maintenance, etc., & put a value on it... I’m the reason my Demon is the way it is, & it’s NEW, for sure, to its owner, all 1,200 miles @ this posting, of her. I didn’t buy my Demon to speculate resale values, especially when I could be driving!!! BTW, can you tell me the if the odds of mishap are less when I drive my car 25 miles, loving the experience, or when you drive it, ever so carefully, .25 miles worrying about deprecating value. Of course if you don’t value & ‘appreciate driving it, driving it depreciates it. My car has only, faults & all, been receiving appreation, therefore appreciating, trust me. I will determine the market price for Demon JH101626 right now... It’s value priced at you can’t have it dollars & I hope I’m makin’ cents.

Well, if the stock market crashes and the dollar loses its reserve status/a portion of its puchasing power, every car might cost 30-50% more dollars than its original purchase price so everyone turns out to be right, just not quite how we hoped. :D
the dollar ...and its status as the reserve currency...and as it relates to the petro dollar.... if that all goes south...this will be the rickshaw forum...not the demon forum...

In 2021 the Demon will be 3 years old.
I think if Trump is re elected the big 3 kick it up a notch.
Sleepy Joe gets in Demons prices drop big time.
Panic and Fear will crash the high performance car market.

I haven’t posted in ages, been busy enjoying my Demon. 8,000 miles now, pretty much weekend driving, including red light to red light crushing all those mustang, Camaro, and BMWs who dare to have a go. I’m enjoying it to the end, didn’t buy it to sit and look at it and worry about resale. Now thinking about adding a 2021 Charger Redeye to collection. Good luck all.
