I installed one on my regular body Scat Pack only because it showed up on Craigslist and liked the look, doubt any real performance advantages, but makes for something a little different than stock in the looks department, IMHO.

I’d like the Demon hood on my Charger simply for the look, but I Believe the HC hood has an undersized scoop so the ability to grab more air should add to the performance. Not exactly sure about that, though I’d still like a carbon fiber Demon style hood.

I have seen a bunch of people installing the Demon hood on their SS and I was wondering why?
Does the Demon hood allow more air into the motor with the bigger scoop or are people just doing it to make their SS a Demon clone.

mine is purely for looks I don’t like the dual hole hoods and I wanted to stay purely with oem parts

I think if u tune there would be an advantage

Understood, its purely subjective. To me a hood is just a hood, but its different if you're trying to pass off a lower model as a higher model. In my opinion all Hellcat's are the same model, Demon too. Very minor differences between them.

As mentioned above why I like the twin scoop hoods, I had to find this pic. I've had a couple 71 Formulas, this being one of them, the best hood ever. When I saw Dodge going this route, I had to have one.

Possibly so but they all share the same powertrain, only minor cosmetic differences between them. Demon gets the drag suspension but really, the bulk of what makes a Hellcat and Demon a higher trim is the powertrain.

I say to each their own. Talk about 'posing'? How about how Dodge took many of the HC parts (like the hood) and put them on other less expensive models of the challenger? If the manufacturer does it, it isn't posing, but if the individual owner does it, it's posing? This stuff has been going on for ages in the automotive industry (Chevelle SS as an example) and other industries. How many fake Rolex's out there? Most enthusiasts can tell an original. If I were a Demon owner, maybe it would piss me off a little, but in the overall scheme of things, does it really matter? It's kind of a compliment to the Demon. I would personally never entertain the idea of slapping on Demon badges onto my HC, but I would entertain the idea of a Demon hood only because I think it's the best looking hood that Dodge has offered for the Challenger. That's all a matter of opinion of course, but it would not be to make someone else think I owned a Demon. Not one to let a car sit to see how much additional value it might bring with extremely low miles some day either. Enjoy these cars while we can because someday it won't be an option.

Well, the demon hood is a 47 cubic-inch scoop, and yes it does bring down temps another fun fact is the bezel( the part that connects the hood to the air box) on a redeye. is a little more than half the size of the demon spec bezel which matches the whole diameter of the air box. personally, I had custom super stock emblems made just so people don't confuse. but I do like my demon hood on mine. and I did get it for the functionality of the hood being this is my 3rd cat and 7th Challenger I know what works and what doesn't So you all can forum race all you want. As far as purest you do know what they say about opinions? And I bought my car with no help from others so I'll make it the way I want.
