Burning oil, MIL dealer says PCV clogged

So at 3k miles I started burning 3qts there's nothing on the dipstick dealer says 2qts and says normal but will monitor for 1k miles

At 4k miles same thing nothing on the dipstick we argue as to how much I'm burning and they mention a TSB that 2qts per 1k miles is normal for high rpm. I tell them I've never gone out of "street" car is too loose on the street and too stiff in sport or race so shifts point are not high rpm for street. Said will monitor..

At 5k down again said there was a new procedure dodge is changing to many engines dealer says 3-4 per wk at his dealer alone (various models)

Hit 5,750 get a MIL light engine running rough I get off the highway and shut her down again nothing on the dipstick car is very hot. Waited 4.5hrs for a tow through dodge roadside in 100deg heat

Dash had P1524 error code

I'm thinking engine damage but dealer is saying clogged PCV valve and wants to change it put oil in it and give it back to me. I argue and than dealer said engineer coming for a separate issue tomorrow and will have him look at mine.

Anybody know about any issues with PCV system clogging on HC's? I mean I have super low miles there shouldn't be any gumming up related to oil. Especially since I am having a lot of it burning and a lot of new oil put back in.

Thoughts of condition of engine after this event? I had low oil pressure that fluctuated so I think I was sucking up air and oil since pan was probably almost dry.

You're not leaving a huge puddle in the drive right? Lots of time in stop and go? what was the reason for 4.5 hours? That's freaking ridiculous.

You said car was "very hot" when the MIL illuminated. How hot? Did you look at the gauges for oil and coolant temp? Who did oil changes? What oil used?

Let us know what "engineer"says.

This is a lot of oil. Keep us posted, I am curious to hear what the problem is.

Uconnect - it's KGB tied right into the car. I find it pretty worthless so far (they'll send a health update report that mentions a tire being low on some day weeks in the past - thanks for that). Personally, I'd rather not have them snooping around inside the car. (see other posts on this subject)

I am not shocked by that oil consumption every corvette I owned from 93 -2004 burned quart of oil in 100 miles if I hot rod dead it had friend with Z06 that would use two in 100 miles,Mercedes friend used quart every 1000 from new.my dodges never used oil and my cat has not either.wish you luck on finding source of problem.

That is some crazy oil consumption...yikes. I never had a car that extreme. Hope the OP gets some logical/reasonable answers regarding his situation. That would be unacceptable to me...I can tolarate some oil consumption but not on that scale.

OP,

Have them hook a pod up to it and check for mis. I bet they find it, maybe low, but I bet its there. Next have the plugs checked. They swapped one head on mine that looked NASTY. Motor still eating oil. At least your dealer started to look at it before 7500 miles, I had to put miles on just to get it looked at.

They even swapped all the plugs before doing the head.

Here is one(1) of my heads after it was pulled.

Now that is ridiculous. Where the hell is QC in Mexico? But see, that's what I've complained about before. This whole off shoring deal requires higher failure rates, and the businesses will accept that because the huge savings they get in Canada Mexico and China don't result in reduced prices to the customers, nearly all of it translates into more profit for the company. They'll put up with more customers having massive failures and just eat the bad PR and customer frustration because we are a captive market.
