Just wondering when buying 2018 demon does the battery manager come installed or in a box separately

 

Its in a separate box. Sometimes its in the trunk if you have the storage kit,or sometimes its in the Demon crate.

So the Canadian buyer had no chance of getting a low vin car?

 

A Canadian vin car is 3301 to 3300. mine is 116. 01-300 then. They just all start with a 3. only 300 made so always a low numeric number if that is your observation.

 

all units past 3000 are Canada cars. 3000-3300 for Canada. I didn't think any past 3300. was this not identical to 2018 process?

5 remaining now. Really no good way to know if they were scrapped on the line or are still yet to be shipped. We will just have to decide when to call it for the year.

@triple_B I heard it’s not unusual for a chassis to get VIN #s and then get damaged and rejected. So it’s possible those aren’t really cars produced. I recall that happening with the OG Demon.

 

There were 111 D170's with "VIP Tracking" as a line. I dont immediately see any other UNIQUE lines only on the VIP Tracking cars so I am not positive what it means. I know that a handful of those cars were members cars that also reached out Dodge directly for a status update, did you as well? Perhaps its just an indication that someone at Dodge was watching the progression?

Mine had "VIP Tracking" on the build sheet so I was wondering what that meant.

I thought I had read somewhere that Tim Kineskus got a 170. But it has flares all around and a leather wrapped steering wheel. This im sure is a VIP car.

 

At this point the last 6 may never actually be shipped. As I have stated previously, there is no way to know from the outside the status of a car that was built but not shipped. There are still 6 cars that have build sheets that dont have Window Stickers yet. Two of those were VIP cars so reasonable that they may take longer than typical, but the other 4 are not and would be finished by now.

 

In that case, do you plan to do the tree regardless since these last few will likely never be delivered?
