Demon/Redeye Fuel Pump into Hellcat

I have been searching and reviving some threads over the past couple of days, but no one has addressed my specific question.

I have a 2015 Hellcat and need more fueling. I prefer a stock fuel basket because it keeps the fuel on the pump, and it also cools the pump. Pumps just last much longer in this scenario. I know the Demon/Redyeye comes with two pumps in a stock basket with two fuel controllers. Tapped Performance has developed a dual pump kit with a Fore hat for hellcat and a Y splitter with a second fuel controller found here: 2015+ Stage 1 Hellcat Fuel System

This just uses fuel socks with no basket. I am considering this while adding two Holley Hyrdamats found here: Hydramat Fuel Filter Sock by Holley

I wonder if the stock Demon/Redeye pumps could be used with the Y splitter tech developed by Tapped.

Another option is to use a boost-a-pump and retain the stock fuel pump and basket. I would prefer not to use a hobbs/boost switch (Kenne Bell) or the throttle pedal kit from JMS so that the car sees a big change in pressure. I would think you could run the BAP all the time and just scale the fueling in the tune.

Thanks for reading. Advice is welcome.

I spoke to Rick at Tapped Performance this morning. He is pretty sharp. It is doable, but you need the jet pump from the passenger side in the Redeye as well. You could use his system with the extra fuel controller, and with a little wiring, you would be in business. He said a few people have asked the same thing, but it is expensive compared to BAPs or a drop in dual pump setup. I am mulling over my options and might try it. I would still love to here from anyone that has done it.

I just installed the TAPPED dual pump system using their wiring harnesses, top notch stuff but also had this same wonder, why can’t the Redeye dual pump setup be used. I saw once but don’t remember the dealer a dodge dealership developed their own dual pump system that uses a basket. I’ll see see if I can find it.
You are talking about this I think: New Steve White Dual Fuel Pumps using the stock FP Basket

The information and presentation did not exactly sell me.

Has anyone tried this? I am considering it.

Are the two pumps in this kit the same as the OEM pump?
