I'm creating this guide to assist people in taking off the Pulley Bolt. Keep in mind that a 1400 TQ Electric Impact is used The "2767 M18 FUEL"
I have watched plenty of videos on the internet that managed to get the bolt out using just a pneumatic gun, sometimes this is not the case, the shaft bolt in the back will just unloosen when you try to impact from the front pulley bolt.
In order to counter this, you need to do the following:
At your local hardware store (Mine is Home Depot):
1x Loctite® Threadlocker Red 271
1x Blaster Penetrating Catalyst Can
In my case I broke the bolt off in the back so I also had to buy that (it was available at home depot, lower quality rating) M10-1.5 x 20 mm
After purchasing the required items above you can start the pre setup procedure:
1. Remove the back bolt that keeps spinning and unloosing.
2. Apply Red Threadlocker around the whole bolt (not just the front or back)
3. Tighten the bolt back into place as hard as you can (Do not use an impact, use a breaker bar or you will break the bolt)
4. Apply Blaster to the Pulley Bolt at the top, around it underneath it (It is important to get the blaster all around the bolt/hub)
5. Wait 12 Hours
Getting into action:
6. After waiting 12 hours Use a heat gun for 5-10 minutes to heat up the pulley bolt, make sure to get all around. (You can also use a blowtorch for about a minute or two)
7. After heating up the bolt quickly grab your impact and unloosen, do not stop if you see the shaft turning, keep going and after about 30 seconds the bolt should come off.
Optional steps (Recommended to follow)
8. Loosen the bolt in the back shaft, this might be hard after applying red thread locker, the thread locker will cure in 24 hours, it should be fairly easy to take it out (if not use a heat gun to warm it and it should come right off)
9. Clean the Red thread locker from the back bolt.
10. Torque the bolt back to company specifications.
We followed steps 8-10 so that way the bolt in the back shaft does not get stuck in the future. if the snout needs maintenance work done you will be able to take that bolt off with ease.
