We had extensive conversations with the GM, sales manager, and the salesman about HP. That's how we ended up looking on the Dodge site and saw the attached. So honestly we didn't know we had to research further. View attachment 633836
In 2022, that was true. The only cars with 797/807hp were Jailbreaks and Super Stocks (all Jailbreaks in 2022 were Redeyes). In 2023, EVERY Charger/Challenger HELLCAT made was a Jailbreak. All the SRT Hellcats, all the Hellcat Redeyes. Only the Super Stock and Demon were left out of the Jailbreak business.

At the end of the day, the price you paid was the telling issue. A fully loaded Hellcat (non-Redeye) shouldn't MSRP over $90k. Most fall between $78-85k. A Redeye is going to start at around $88k for a barebones car and run to around $103k absolutely top end loaded widebody.

Open the hood and look for the black hellcat badge on the supercharger. That means it’s a Redeye and you have 797/807 HP. If it’s a silver hellcat badge on top of the supercharger you have a regular hellcat with 707/717 HP. Easy as that.

Ahhh but it's not available on the SRT Jailbreak. Some say it's available on the Redeye Jailbreak, which is different model. According to car comparisons Dodge doesn't even know what they have.

LOL. The Dodge pages were never kept up. Heck, the M6 never even made it to the configurator and yet I have one. Its going to be tough for you to get any satisfaction. Try to work with the dealer. Its as good as its going to get.

To be fair, Dodge has never made it easy for car salesmen (or buyers) over the last 10 years or so. Remember the R/T, R/T Classic, R/T Core, and so on? They ended up bloating out the Hellcats the same way they did the R/T. Back in 2015... there was a Hellcat. Then came the Redeye, then a Super Stock, then a widebody version of the HC and RE. Next, a Jailbreak version of only the Redeye, followed up with a Jailbreak on everything except the SS.

Thus, in 2023 you had the following:

Hellcat Jailbreak - 717hp
Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak - 717hp
Redeye Jailbreak - 797hp
Redeye Widebody Jailbreak - 807hp
Super Stock - 807hp
Demon 170 - 1,025 hp
Demon 170 Jailbreak (only 30 units) - 1,025hp

And of course, there's all the Chargers too, but those only came in widebody format, so at least it cut out some of the minutiae there.

FIXED THE 170 TYPE-O Sheesh

I think Dodge thought the more names you give a car them more you can charge for it.

Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye Super Stock Jailbreak Demon lucifer Panzerfaust 170 R/T Saloon A Bang A Dang Diddy...

All of the SS and Redeyes have the same badge. It's been explained as having the Demon engine, so they have red eyes because Demon stuff is red (like the engine block).

The OG 2018 Demon? 808hp.

I'm sorry I'm not an expert in every model Hellcat sold. There is a reason why consumer rights exist. Don't lie when you sell something.
Next time look at the window sticker, or better yet do a little research before pulling the trigger on a high ticket item. Geez. None of us were "experts" on Hellcats before we ought ours. Sorry to say but some of this is on you. BTW, you're still gonna love this thing.
