I’d bring it back then if they really told you that. But a redeye JB has a redeye on the hellcat fender badges, a black plaque on the supercharger lid, green belt, and a red eye on the instrument cluster when it starts up. Also the uconnect will say 807hp. Also the IP badge will have a red eye. Also an open element air filter. Hellcat are closed filter.
The late model 717hp Hellcats have an open element filter now as well. I don't know what model year the change occurred, but it may have been 2019. The Jailbreak vent badge on the standard cats has a red eye as well. I assume because it's tiny and Dodge decided not to add manufacturing expense over such a minute change.

Pretty sure it was 2019 along with the new hood.

That would make sense actually.

Charger. I think the 2019+ Challenger got the open airbox. Someone correct me if not.
Wonder why the Charger Hellcat never got the updated airbox, but the Challenger did. I would say it's to do with the hood, but the Charger hood was updated in '21 as well and would've provided an opportunity to do so.

When we purchased our 2023 Widebody Jailbreak from the dealership we were told it was 807 HP. We looked at Dodges Website and it says the widebody Jailbreak comes with 807 hp engine. Later we find out it only has 717 HP and only the Super Stocks can be ordered with the 807 HP. Has anyone else had this issue?
Jailbreak doesn’t mean more HP with the 23 models. 23 jailbreak only means you can order it like you want it, for lack of better terms. At least that’s the way it was explained to me.

Just wanted to also add to this. In ‘22 when the jailbreak model’s were first introduced, from what I can recall, they were only in available in what was essentially a redeye trim package but one level higher with a slight adjustment to the horsepower rating (807 instead of 797.) In ‘23 Hellcats were offered exclusively in jailbreak trims with both a standard 717 version and a redeye version. Honestly I can see why there is a lot of confusion around this, especially with there being only two model years of the jailbreak trim. It’s funny how many people I’ve met at car shows who think my car is a 807 car when they see the “Jailbreak” emblem on the dash.

The '23 Redeye Widebody Jailbreak came with 807hp. The standard body Redeye Jailbreak came with 797. There were a few non-Jailbreak Redeye WB and NB produced. All of those had 797hp. So, technically, the REWBJB got 10 extra.

Is the 807hp factored at the same rpm range as the 797hp? It seems that I remember seeing something about the 807hp being factored at 6400rpm and the 797hp being factored at 6300rpm, I could be mistaken on this tho.

I did some research on this because I got curious. From what I’ve read, it seems Dodge increased the redline on the these models by 100 RPM which gave it an extra 10 HP.

The H.O. 6.2L engines were certified in 2017. At 6400 RPM measured HP =812. Dodge has marketed it etc. at various levels. 797, 807, & 808 hp with premium pump fuel required as we know. Get a ‘18 Demon with its crate and/or have your H.O. tuned for more than premium pump fuel, and they can respond very well. As we know the 2018 Demon has a Dodge tune with 100 octane sensors to give as much as 840 hp.

'2019+ 717hp hellcats also have open element air filters but orange valve covers not black like 797 and 807 hp cars.

A 717hp Hellcat has a different power plant than the 797, 807 or 808 HO variant. Block is a different color.
