Sounds kind of scamy. That’s a stock throttle body, looks like the AFe carbon intake, that’s Definitley hand laid carbon fiber not 3D printed carbon, and on the website they list the temperature in Celsius but are supposed to be a US company in Denver? Cmon man
What? Scammy? He has two or three models that he offers and is a Hellcat owner himself, the hand-laid carbon fiber version which I bought, and then a 3-D printed version that he makes. I would never buy any fake carbon fiber anything. Period. The silicone coupler he uses to attach it to the factory air box is an AFE product, as they sell silicone couplers as separate parts every day. The 2nd coupler that will attach it to the NW 108mm Throttle Body is a special order piece that he has made from a mold he paid for and has another company produce. I'm not sure what part of anything appears scammy to you but it certainly doesn't appear to be a scam from my perspective. The carbon fiber piece can be used with the regular throttle body just like in the picture. The difference of course is in the coupler size. This is the 3-D printed model he sells pictured below. And by the way, he emails me back usually within minutes whenever I have had a question. The link to the 3-d part: D3D one piece 19+ Challenger Hellcat Race intake | D3D print

The 3-D printed version:

Really the long and short of it is that I want a better looking and better flowing air intake tube for the factory airbox. Who makes it or what combination of brands are used in the silicone/rubber couplers is of no consequence. Thy just have to fit properly, perform properly, and lastly look good. The coupler from the CF tube to the larger throttle body has to be well-made and thick otherwise it will start to collapse. He tried using an AFE brand couple in that spot and worked fine up to about 850 horsepower. Anything over that led to some collapsing so he had to develop a new coupler that was heavier duty. A batch of them are currently being shipped to him now and once he has them he will send me the kit. I will come back here and post the results.

Okay that’s a better picture, thanks for posting an actual pic of it. 1st pic was not it, that was an afe intake

Got it in the mail today. Very high quality piece, nicely finished, everything looks excellent. Will get some pics posted as well as once installed. It should be a way to dress up the engine bay while improving air flow and also fixing my issue with stretching that factory rubber intake out to a 108mm throttle body at the same time.

The tube itself is 3d printed and then It is wrapped in hand laid CF with a gloss finish. Very nice product. Slick as ca. Be on both inside and out and should help air velocity over that sticky segemented factory rubber intake tube. Got it installed this evening after staying late at work but didn't want to wait till weekend. Took about 20 mins to install total. A MUCH better fit on the 108mm Throttle Body. And the carbon fiber looks great in engine bay instead of that dirty segmented rubber tube. Only had provision for the air temp sensor. The other one you just run a breather off of the hub where it originates at upper right of engine bay. You can see the little filtered breather goes in place of the tube. Attached are some pics of it installed.

I am running the Nick Williams 108mm TB. Love it, works great. I had to switch CAI from the aFe to the JLT and then shorten (trim the side that mates with the air filter for it to not be too long. Also bought an aftermarket coupler of the appropriate diameter as well. I do have a ported snout/blower done by Jokerz.

The small breather that replaces the hose is the black one in the front. The other red one with black top is crankcase breather with a one way ball valve in it.

Looks like you have the standard Hellcat right? If so then you would have needed to change out the factory air intake for sure. On the redeye they didnt want me to change anything Except the tube if i wanted to as they said the Redeye factory intake is as good as it gets. I'm surprised you are not having to run a idler/tensioner pulley with the SC pulley size you are running. I also have jokerz ported Snout and supercharger. I'm a currently running my high boost tune with the small pulley and e85 and they were getting some belt slip on the dyno when HHP did my tuning a few weeks back so we added that billet idler and it fixed it right away

Yup standard Hellcat. I’m only running a 2.85 pulley at the moment, soon moving down to a 2.75.

What size pulley are you running where you feel you need the additional pulley?

It's a relatively cheap part, even the high quality billet models like I bought. It completes MORE than a 3/4 wrap of the belt on the pulley and eliminates slippage. The only issue is you may have to relocate your catch can to a fender mount or at least modify the bracket if you are running a front mount catch can which it looks like you are. I was running a UPR plug n play unit with Z bracket but it no longer would work properly. It was possible to bolt it into the backside of the idler bullet bracket but it sat so high it was making contact with the trunk. If I had to do it over again I would have bought per4mance development idler pulley and catch can combo. Actually it might have been maDe by AAD, the combo piece that is.

AND another thing to keep in mind is that was with a sta dard crank pulley. If you have oversized crank pulley you will def need it as you will be spinning the shit out of that SC. I didn't need to change the crank pulley as I did a shit load of mods that added power without excessive supercharger speed

I am still on the stock crank pulley, I appreciate the advice though!

That is good. With the stock crank pulley the 2.75" is probably the smallest you should run. You will probably need an idler/tensioner pulley if you don't want any belt slip. They are easy to install, like 15 mins and it's done. You have your stock crank pulley pinned already right? Are you running 93, E-85, or race gas?

Here's that AAD Performance combo catch can and idler pulley I would have bought if I had it to do over again. Its on sale for $679. Pricey but all of their stuff is always top quality.

I appreciate the advice. I’m running flex fuel on the 2.85, but primarily run corn. When I switch to the 2.75 it will strictly be on corn. I pinned the crank when I first pullies down.

Cool. I am running E85 as well, probably the rest of the summer then switch pulleys and tune to 93 in the Fall. I have 1340cc injectors and dual boost a pumps to get enough fuel to it. Its pump E85, nothing special. But I test it first every time and around here it seems to always be between 85 and 90%. Its amazing how much cooler the car runs with the E85 despite the SC spinning faster. I do have the FI Interchiller spacers and heat shield installed which helps a ton as well. But typically the car would run dead center of the temp gauge, now it stays between the bottom and 1/4 mark, even when doing long pulls on the highway or idling in traffic.

Running the Kong aka Nick Williams 108mm TB, I have it matched with a the full kong package. Been raining the last few days, haven't had a chance to get on the road with it to report any issues as they say "No Tuning" is required but I don't believe it.

SDG’s snout is a true 108mm apparently. Good to know about the nick Williams, guess it’s better to fork up the extra $1-200 for the kong or Gearhead one
GHF uses the NW TB
