Mine is a 2020 Callenger Redeye Widebody. Got to the track early and squeeze four runs the worst was 11.3 and the best was 10.9. I thought you mentioned that you put air in your tires and the problem went away. I do appreciate your post. Thx,
Maybe you are thinking when Phast HEMI got in there and destroyed my thread. He likes higher pressure in the rear tires and he seems to think that is the answer to everybodies problems.

Nothing ever fixed the massive hiccup on the 2020 Frostbite car. Nothing. And FCA said that is how they want it to operate. So I sold it and got it out of my life.

On that car the Hiccup was probably worth .2 to .3. Too bad because it had killer MPH and we will never know how fast it really was.

I tried everything even though some assumed not. Such a shame people will trash someone without having all the facts.

I was told by a reputable transmission builder of OUR transmissions that adding pressure would likely fix it. I am talking about tuning the TCM to increase the operating oil pressure inside the trans. This would cause the shifts to complete faster, kind of like a shift kit would do to an older Transmission years ago.

You CAN tune the TCM without unlocking and tuning the PCM. I have done it. But there are issues that need to be worked through first so it is helpful if you have experience. Luckily the Frostbite car gave me this.......

My Super Stock ALSO has hiccups. And it was extremely frustrating because I could never figure out when it was going to lay down a good pass or hiccup. I have many passes and data logs and have not figured it out yet.

Thanks !

My Widebody Scat Pack did exactly the same thing on the 2-3 shift. Took it to the dealership and they were instructed to do an update on the trans and it did nothing. It was fine on easy driving but as soon as I did anything over a 30 percent throttle it sounded like it was backfiring out of the exhaust when it shifted and you felt the car lurch forward before shifting and they all looked at me like I was nuts
I gave up even trying and ended up trading it in for a truck for my brother and I bought his Redeye

Cool. Does your Redeye do it ??

I have a 2020 Challenger Redeye Widebody with 5600 miles and it falls on its face between 1-2 shift on wide open throttle. This is with the traction control and stability control turned off. I put stock Demon wheels and tires on the back to get traction and the 1-2 shift in WOT is Horrible. It falls flat on its face then takes off again. It's not hitting the rev limiter of strving for fuel. Feels like a TCM problem issue. HELP !!
Ever figure it out?

I have the same car and at first it bugged me to death! What happens is that it hits the rev limiter due to the rpm’s rising so quickly, it can’t shift before it bumps the limiter. Drag radials are your answer man. And I have learned to not go full throttle until going into 3rd gear. Also when in dedicated manual mode, it will always hit the limiter and die out almost quicker than you can shift it when WOT. Takes getting used to, but drag radials are the biggest assistant on these cars.
I agree, regarding driving in manual mode the easiest way to put it is like hitting a 107 mph fast ball, you have to be on your game and swing way ahead of time, with 100% concentration on timing the tach climb to redline, if you miss ur diving…what? who me? Naw!!!

My RedEye had this same problem. I went pretty high up on the chain with SRT customer service including several dealer visits and a confirming dealer opinion etc and even hitting up my insider connection within FCA. Bottom line they said it was operating as designed. They WANT it to hiccup. I sold mine after all that.

I had Dodge do a stage 1 on my 2023 charger hellcat and it’s also running poorly on the shifts. They also told me that this is normal. I’ve told them that “this is normal is a bullshit answer for a 100k race car”. Supposed to take it back in to have it flashed for a 3rd time. So dumb.

Reflash isnt going to do anything. It is indeed normal for these cars, not saying it's right but it's how theyre built for some reason. Thought I read it's to protect the trans or something to that effect. My '16 Hellcat didnt do it but my RE does. Like drgrcr mention above - trans pressure related I believe.
