My 2015 just passed 40K, and the manual says 36K for plugs. Other posts here said 60K for a 2016, or even 100K. Think it's because of different plugs then from the factory? I'll pull a few tomorrow and check them. Anyone know they compare to changing on an LS engine?

Anybody tried the Ruthenium plugs in a HC or Redeye yet? Advertised to be better than Iridium. Both the OE Bosch and this plug are <$8 a plug at Rock Auto.com

That is strange, the 16 manual does 60,000 miles. Don't know if they changed plugs or just learned something from 15.

After a lengthily convo with Champion, it is because of the better plugs now a days. Luckily, they only sell the Iridium's now. Now, I need to pull a few and check them...........

I've seen posts in the past the changing of spark plugs with some colorful words!
I remember seeing the warning of Be careful not to break the Spark plug.

Check this DYI out on changing Sparkplugs.

I did the spark plugs myself and patience is key. I used a lot of wobble extensions to reach them which made it much easier for me. I started on the passenger side and called it an night after I finished that side. The next evening I knocked out the driver side which is much easier.

It can be frustrating at times so start with the passenger side first to get the hard part out of the way. After that you'll blast through the driver side. Now if you're short on patience then don't bother, just pay to have it done. Now if you really want to have some fun try installing headers.

Hi,

If you're a little bit mechanically inclined, plugs aren't that hard to do, for 800 bucks, you could buy a complete tool set and parts. And probably have enough leftover to buy a fee cold one's.

I have done them on my Ram 5.7 and the worst one was the 2 closest to the firewall on the drivers side because of the brake booster.

Good luck,
also here I got a site as a result of a search about spark plug replacement.

My 2013 SRT just turned over 46k during a recent anniversary road trip. I'm getting ready to conduct my annual oil change and thought it might be time to replace spark plugs also. I'm looking at some NGKs on High Horse Performance, but although there seems to be several that will fit my 6.4L, they also appear to come in different lengths. My engine is stock, except for an aftermarket CAI. If I want to put good, high quality spark plugs, which ones should I go with (length)?

Hi,

My Challenger is a 2020 so haven't done them on it yet.

As far as replacement plugs no matter manufacturer I'd go with the equivalent heat range s the factory plugs. Depending upon climate some go for a colder plug although you're mileage might suffer, there is alot of theory on plug het ratings and not sure what translates to modern cars vs oldr cars with a distributor.

Regards,
Jim

Most on here will be more familiar with a Hellcat or 2014 Mopar.

Just give HHP's sales a call. 1-888-894-1115
They have the knowledge and experience of the Gen 3 Hemi and the website has a plethora parts for all.
