Check the aluminum piece to the lower right of the tensioner pulley. I have dust collecting there from my 2.85 setup with the oversized tensioners and the tensioner is right in the middle as well. I don't hear the belt slipping, so it might just be residual from romping on it.

Tim is a great tuner, he will be doing this setup for me in the next few months.

 

Drag radials and they spun early on the dyno on that pull. Just checked no belt dust there. Yes, Tim and Rhonda are great. Can't wait for the next cold day in central FL to hit the dragstrip!!

 

What did you hit in the 1/2?

 

167 mph Rained in the morning. The runway was terrible, Could not hook up till after 80 mph all day..

 

What % E85 were you on? Did you do just a straight E85 tune or his E70 too along with the drive around 93 tune?

 

l Iive in Ocala, FL we have e85 ten minutes away. It tested at e80. At the moment only have the e85 tune will get with Tim for the e70 and 93 tune.

Nice, I have a reliable pump about 10 minutes from home that has tested 80% since June of last year. Very good for up here in Chicago winter. This is the spot most of the guys go to. I have a station 3 minutes from home, but only 75%. I plan to test a few more so I know where the goods are. I'm super OCD about it all, and even though I don't want to test all the time, I probably will more often than not.

I drive the car year round, so I would probably run on E70 or 93 during the winter. I dislike the smell of 93 through catless, which makes me lean towards E in the winter as well.

 

Jeremy Satera has a Flex fuel setup that allows you to run any type of Ethanol fuel that you want and it will set up your tune to what ethanol that you're running. The bad thing is that it has to be installed in-house. The good thing is that you live in Illinois and that's where his shop is.

It's not cheap but it appears to work.

Yeah catless on 93 is horrible

 

This is why I went with Injected Engineering. Flex fuel is amazing. Filled up with shitty e54 in Arizona (all we have) and it adjusts the timing automatically with the widenand. jonjonday I sent jokerz a message on getting the 2.5 pulley and hub. Hopefully it solves the squeal when I get out of it from wot.

 

One last question, so if younhammer it at 40 mph and get out of it due to blowing the tires off, you don’t get that half second of belt squeal? I already have the metco 2.5 and 2.85. I’m not a fan of noises. So if that’s the case, I’m ordering today!

 

No squeal 40 or 60 mph tires blow off and get out of gas! Used to get squeal on hard downshifts no more sir..

You have a goal for the 1/2 mile? I’d like to think that car can do 180-183 mph.

 

I think my car could do close to 175 with good traction out of the hole all the way down the track. My Charger is full weight had a full tank of e85.

 

I just read you can send in an pulley and have griptec applied to it at Zpe.

Hey man, how you been... Yes, but it is more aggressive. If I remember Andrew said could be used for track days? I will find out. Maxboost was out running all stock pulley cars and some pulley cars at the 1/2 mile last year with his stock pulley set up. He is always ahead of the curve on making our cars faster.

Looks like your car is a beast now. That was all trans/fuel cut tuning that was making my car faster. It was early in the game and it hadn’t caught on yet.

Any tuner that tells you that you will see a big gain between E70 and E85 from the gas pump is blowing smoke up your ass.

 

Tim's e70 tune is for e70 or lower, that winter blend. Pulls timing out.

 

The point being if you tune it for E70 it wont matter if you run E85. You will not gain but a couple hp if tuned on E85

Is the E70 tune a WOT tune or just a cold start tune for colder weather?

 

Should make good power with good fuel
