TBH, Dodge dealerships are independently owned. Whining to a corporate customer service rep about a franchise location usually won't affect anything. This issue is a grassroots breakdown in common service operation at the local level. I'll probably reach out to the service manager and at least tell them what went on. Honestly, if their senior tech doesn't know where the oil cooler is on a Hellcat and he, "changes oil on Hellcats all the time," then that's a real problem and needs to be corrected.

you shouldn't go back to that dealership

That's pretty much what dodgecares told me. Cause they're independently owned not much they can do with the dealerships. Shame we just can't order our cars online and forget the dealer. Tired of the games and adms

This unfortunately is the dealership of today. I’m currently trying to figure out how to get my wheels fixed by my local dodge dealer. I took it to them to get “fixed”. I was told the first day the repair guy ran out of time so the car stayed the night against my will. Day 2 happens and I was told yup it was fixed so I was like ok cool I’ll come get it because I didn’t want it there another day. I get to the car and nothing was done. Now I’m trying to figure out how to get my wheels to my dealer to get fixed because I don’t want to leave the car there again. #dodgesucks

Well HQ messed up the dealerships, stuff rolls downhill. Shame, mine is like this too. I had an engine replace under warranty and now I have a burning smell and they want it overnight no loaner to look at it. Scratched the front bumper up BAD like they laid it on the front in the ground and slid it around.

Heh, similar happened to my C8 the first time I took it there for an oil change. They bring the car out and I notice a new divot on the right quarter front of the nose. I was like, "What's that?" And I got the whole we didn't do anything, it was there before excuses. Buuuut... heh. My car had the track data recorder and I had it set to be always on when the car's on. Well, it captured the tech pulling the car into the bay. He didn't see a red waist-high tool box on a cart and smacked it doing 6 mph. You see him bend over and stare at the damage. It also picks up audio. "Ooooh shit, you're in trouble... etc." You then hear and randomly see 4 techs joking about it and how they'll just tell (name of service advisor) they didn't notice any damage on the car.

So yeah, I returned about an hour later and showed the video to the service manager. He got the car fixed and made some personnel changes. Absolutely smooth process from my end. I always loved the karma involved in how their own car recorded the whole thing. The best part, really, was that front camera captured him hitting the cart and only missing the camera by about a half inch... so it got a great shot of what he did.

It's like I told them before I handed them the keys, "I don't care if you drain the oil cooler or not. DO NOT OVERFILL MY OIL. If you don't drain the oil cooler, don't blindly dump 7 qts into it because it'll overfill the engine." And dude did exactly the opposite. Declared the car had no oil cooler and dumped 7 qts in the engine :)
This is emblematic of a lot of people in the workforce today and it's a combination of ignorance and arrogance and it gets more likely the younger the person is.

The other day I pre-ordered on the app my lunch (burrito bowl and this great Mandarin orange drink that they have) at Chipotle and this particular Chipotle has a drive-up pickup window, so I chose "Pick at at window" instead of "Pick up inside". I pull up, give the young girl my name and she hands me a bag. She goes to close the window so I say "You owe me a drink". She says "Oh, the cup is in the bag". I say "So you think I chose "Pick at at window" so I could drive up, get a cup, then park, walk inside and get the drink myself?". She looks at me like I'm speaking Portuguese so I ended up doing exactly that, parking and getting my own drink. Partly because I wasn't confident that she was competent to pour a drink and also because I was afraid of what else might end up in my drink.

And here I thought I was the only one that had a dealer that struggled to change the oil. Mine is a slightly different story, but along the same lines. Relayed my experience to DodgeCares and I got a link to other dealers in my area. I for 100% sure will NOT be returning to my local dealer. I ONLY took it to them to get documentation of the oil change in their system for warranty purposes. I have a hoist and everything necessary to change the oil without a doubt. My 2 will NOT be going back.

No respect for other people's stuff

Always makes me think twice about complaining

My Redeye doesn't have an SRT light on steering wheel, I was told by my dealer. After I convinced the technician, he said he couldn't find the way to check it.
I told him, it HAD a light, it quit, so its broken. Please order me one & I'll bring the car back when it comes in so you can replace it, its the whole steering wheel airbag assembly. He said, "OK", & that was it. A week later I took it back after the part came in & it took him a whole 5 min. to replace it.
Thats the only time its ever been to the dealer. I don't (cant) trust them to do anything.
